Oh hey, Rach, we were wondering when Obama and Afghanistan would let up to give you some time to squeeze in some Uganda gay coverage! Like explaining how America’s leading faith-based bigots are shaping possible genocide of Uganda’s queers.
On the show was Jeff Sharlet, author of a book about D.C.’s religious group The Family, which is backing Uganda’s anti-gay movement, who highlights the connection between the Family and Uganda’s bigoted leaders, which include President Yoweri Museveni, pastor Martin Ssempa, lawmaker David Bahati, and Museveni’s Ethics Minister James Nsaba Buturo. Oh, what a fantastic roundtable they would make!
