While the Republican party continues to torture themselves and their children with “ex-gay” abuse, a new movie is in the works that exposes the harm that the discredited “treatment” causes.
It’s called The Miseducation of Cameron Post, and it sounds kind of like a serious version of But I’m a Cheerleader. Starring are Chloe Moretz and Sasha Lane, who are probably young starlets that we should have heard of by now but who can keep track of them all? Anyway, one of them is caught making out the the prom queen, and gets thrown into one of those deadly pray-away-the-gay centers.
It’s based on a novel by Desiree Akhavan, who also wrote Appropriate Behavior, a movie about a bisexual Persian woman.
We don’t know much more about the movie, other than that it’s got John Gallagher Jr, who you didn’t see in Short Term 12, and Jennifer Ehle, who you missed in A Quiet Passion. It’s being shot by Ashley Connor, who worked on Tramps. Frankly, these all sound like made-up titles in a parody world of indi-Sundance, so we’re only like 95% sure it’s a real thing.

I’ve seen John Gallagher, Jr. in an episode of Law and Order SVU, the movie 10 Cloverfield Lane, and yes, Short Term 12. The latter is far from a blockbuster movie, because of that, it’s worth watching.

So instead of having a beautiful Iranian woman they cast some blonde haired butterface?

Benji you report on this movie with a mocking and derogatory tone so why bother at all? Also, how about a little self editing or at least get a friend to read over your stuff before you post it. This article was a grammatical fiasco.
