— Daniel Radcliffe on losing his cinematic virginity in Kill Your Darlings.
– The Jonas Brothers quit Twitter, to the disappointment of teenaged girls and middle-aged men that live with their mothers the world over.
– In his new autobiography, Morrissey discusses his first real relationship — with a bloke (’cause he’s British) named Jake Owen Walters — and it sounds like a 90’s version of Brideshead Revisited.
– Lindsay Lohan had a mini-reunion with one of her Mean Girls co-stars, and sadly it was not evil in the form of Rachel McAdams. Meanwhile, can you believe it’s almost 10 years since LiLo’s had a career?
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
– Note to Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus: the Queen is coming for you. Beyoncé is allegedly planning to release a big, fat hit at the end of the year to eclipse her fellow pop superstar rivals. Of course, Queen Bey hasn’t had a big, fat hit in like four years, but that didn’t stop her from going on tour and it won’t stop her from sending out a hit squad should her plans backfire.
– Speaking of Gaga, Mother Monster recorded a song with R. Kelly, the Pied Piper of R&B — isn’t it nice when people have musical nicknames, even if they have vaguely pedophilic undertones — for her upcoming ARTPOP and she debuted a snippet of it in a Best Buy commercial. Someone’s really taking this art as commerce thing very seriously:

“Vaguely pedophilic undertones”. Lol, just when I thought Queerty couldn’t outdo themselves with Gaga hating. Classic.
Kevin B
@whatisthis: Um that’s referring to R. Kelly, who was tried for soliciting a minor for child pornography after a video linked allegedly showing him having sex with a 14-year-old. Nothing to do with Gaga.
HirsuteOne
I heard the Radcliff comment before. I think it was when he was on Andy Cohen’s show Watch What Happens Live. The reference was to Brokeback Mountain and how the sex scene was basically a spit and tickle and it went right in and that wasn’t reality. The exchange was unexpectedly graphic for Harry Potter and even made Andy Cohen speechless which is an event unto itself.

Someone needs to give Dear Daniel a copy of this book:
Gay Anal Sex: How To Bottom Without Pain Or Stains, by Mike Miller
Bellerophon69
I know many who said it was horrible or painful, I’ve also known many who said it was magic and wonderful; I guess the first time, love it or hate it, depends on your partner. I knew I liked being entered anally because I lost MY virginity to a vibrator my Mom had (ick now that I think of it), and the guy I was first with made sure I was well greased and diddled. And he was well hung and I was young, but he knew what he was doing and I loved it the first time. Sure, I’ve had a few times when anal sex was torture, but that was due to the circumstance or the partner, but I don’t think one size fits all when it comes to painful anal sex. Pun intended.

daniel come out of the closet already
tdx3fan
This is so completely stereotypical. Anal sex depends heavily on the top knowing what they are doing. This is yet another docudrama that will rely on its shock and awe to keep it from hitting the bargain bin.
HirsuteOne
@Bellerophon69:
Any guy who knows how to ensure his partner is “well greased and diddled” is a keeper in my book.
Daniel-Reader
So apaprently all we’ve learned is that the director is really bad at gay sex, has not gotten any better at it, and extrapolates that to everyone else. If it is painful you aren’t doing it right.
Pistolo
Oh my god, another snippet from that damn Daniel Radcliffe about gayness. Is anyone whose actually gay talking about sex that we can report on? I’m so sick of him and Franco’s pandering. We get it….but you’re smothering us.
fredo777
I guess Bey’s ‘Countdown’ being #1 on the US R+B charts in 2011 doesn’t count b/c it was the R+B charts + not mainstream enough…?
QuintoLover
@fredo777: Countdown was AMAZING! But that was still a long while ago and I’m ready for something new from her. What was the point of teasing us with some new music this year and having a freaking tour if she’s not capitalizing?
Mikah
Why R.Kelly?
aerogens
@Bellerophon69: Lucky! My first time was in high school and I was not at all “well greased and diddled.” I’d have to agree with @Bellerophon69, it depends on the partner.

A rather profound and unpleasant deflowering at age 24. It sounds like the director was a bit sadistic. When I was 13, I was voluntarily deflowered by an older teenager. It was a little painful at first but then that gradually went away. Very slow and gently, he knew what he was doing.
When I was 16, a fellow school classmate and good friend of mine wanted to screw me. I was the first person he ever penetrated and he loved it. I let him do this on several occasions and for quite some time. Then one day I finally asked him, “why don’t you let me try you”? He declined I believe because mine was noticeably much larger than his was as I was fully developed and well hung even by today’s comparison. Anyway, one day he came over from his parents house to my parents house and into the attic we went. I started to lay down for him to top me as usual but he said, “no I want to try this”. So he lay down his stomach and I saw that pretty round and brown butt. I liberally lubed up him and myself. Then I press my head against his sphincter then pulled back. I did this back and forth several times like knocking on a door but not entering in. Finally after about six or seven “knocks” I started feeling his sphincter slowly give way and open up. At that point and very very slowly, I gently eased it all the way in. He asked me, “are you all the way in?” I said yes. Then I just pulled it straight out and he let out a gasp. I said, “are you all right?” He said he was fine and that it just startled him. I cleaned myself up and he left for his place. The next opportunity that my parents were out he came back to visit me. I went through the same process over again but it did not take quite as long as my first try. Once I was fully in like before he said, “go-ahead”. As I slowly and deeply stroked him, his sphincter felt like a smooth and snug V– shaped rubber band around my penis going from the tip of the shaft to the base. I could also feel the smoothness of being inside him wrapping around me like a silk glove. All the while and unlike our first attempt, he was well relaxed and laid back. When I finally came, o-o-o-oh it was so good!. I never felt anything like it before nor since. After that first time, every so often and on a regular basis when his parents were away he would call me over and we’d get busy. This time he would always bottom for me first then when I was done, I’d always return the favor. This went on for a few months until he met a neighborhood predator. After that predator and his accomplices raped him, he was never the same. I knew that he had been raped when I came over as usual to do our thing and he refused. This because he had bled anally from the event. I was very, very pissed off but as a youth myself I could not do anything about it. I felt so powerless. After that and on a very rare occasion we did have sex but it never felt the same as I would just slide effortlessly straight into him like it was nothing. That was back in 1977. During the many years since then I tried off and on to try and form a true and bonding relationship with him but never could. On the surface it seemed like there was something there between us as we occasionally did have sex but he did not have the original warmth that he once had when we first met. When I finally came to this nursing home due to ALS, he wound up abandoning me for a younger and healthier man of color. This broke my heart.

@Kevin B: You forgot the golden shower. Kelly is a multitalented artiste.
whatisthis
@Kevin B: Ah, I see. My bad, I guess I just sort of expect Lady Gaga jokes on Queerty nowadays, heh.

@Charles175: thanks for sharing Charles. Always enjoy reading your posts.
Rock Star
Oh please he’s an actor and English, need I say more?
litper
Really tired of Franco and that closeted queen.
AEH
Where would Queerty be without the Negative Nellies? I’m grateful for support from the likes of Daniel Radcliffe and Josh Hutcherson. Can’t really say the same for Franco, mainly because I don’t know what the hell he’s doing!

KILL YOU DARLINGS Review: Press releases whether construed from the actual actor’s interview or by his publicist remains to be proven. SPOILER: However, after seeing the film and with the psychological journey Daniel’s character I can see why the director filmed it as a tentative, quick but consenting first time sex with a stranger at a bar (and not with his paramour). This ‘painful experience’ was much ado about nothing and reported to promote this already brilliant film.
