Ex-Lesbian Runaway Mom Lisa Miller Fled With Daughter to El Salvador?

Lisa Miller, the ex-lesbian mom who refused to grant custody of her daughter to her former partner Janet Jenkins, has reportedly fled to El Salvador with eight-year-old Isabella.

Jenkins’ attorney says “a Virginia police officer told her that Miller and the girl flew to El Salvador’s capital, San Salvador, from Juarez, Mexico, which is across the Rio Grande from El Paso, Texas.” This, after a judge refused to hold Miller in contempt after she failed to show up to give Isabella to Jenkins, who had been granted full custody.

Enter suspicion that the Liberty Counsel, which had been fronting Miller’s legal bills, helped her escape.

And if the roles were reversed and the still Lesbian partner fled with the kid, wonder if the judge would have been so “understanding”? Kid is ripped from all that she has ever known, friends, family, schoomates, Grandparents, even her own country. She probably hasn’t seen daylight in months and now with help from the liberty counsel is in a foreign country most likely not even knowing the language simply to escape the evil Lesbian Mother……

The rightwing lunatic scumbags are so damm concerned about the welfare and well being of the “unborn” children. I guess that concern terminates upon being actually born………

So what’s being done? Do we even have an extradition policy with Mexico? Or is Mommy Kidnapper going to end up in a Mexican prison? Either one sounds like justice to me.

  • marcus

Given the incredible violence in Juarez right now, she was putting her daughter at great risk by fleeing there at all.

It sounds like she went to El Salvador via: Jaurez Mexico, so extradition would depend on the agreements between US & El Salvador. Legal experts: PLEASE let us know your thoughts.

Lisa Miller is being selfish, keeping this poor kid away from her friends, school, family, and routines. And most of her toys!

The failure of the US legal system and police departments in persuing this case really shows how far the Xtian fundies have infiltrated the criminal justice and court systems. Superstitious + Evil + Stupid is never a good combo.

@Jeffree: Thanks. I failed geography. Does it show?

Stories like this one and the Sharon Bottoms case give me nightmares.

Love the legal custodian, hate the legal ruling?

if this woman, jenkins, were not a lesbian, how many of you out there would even care? its a way to bash christianity and straights, be honest with yourself, if this was your biological child would you hand her over to your lover who split when the child was 1 years old? especially if your lover was not the biological parent? be honest with yourself, only a moron would answer yes. love for your child trumps any law.

  • acea

the sharon bottoms case is just as bad, now i just read the story and am horrified. i believe in justice, taking a child away from their biological parents is sad and wrong, no matter sexual orientation. we should be fighting for justice not our own agendas, if everyone out here feels for sharon bottoms then you should feel pain for lisa miller, if not then i suggest you stop being a hypocrit and have a genuine heart.

Biological mother should stay with biological child. That’s it.

  • Rochelle

@PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS: why don’t you try reading the whole story. Janet Jenkins has no legal or biological right to the child. She does not even care about her, and she sounds like an abusive monster. That child is not a weapon, or a tool to push their own agenda. Please, I am glad she ran. It’s her child. Oh, I forgot, she is being punished…how dare she stop being a lesbian, after they did so much to convince her that she was, and how dare she find salvation in the LORD, Jesus Christ!! How dare she. Run, Lisa, run!
