The plot thickens in the mysterious death of 23-year old flight attendant Christine Dacera: police in the Philippines arrested three men in connection with her rape and murder. Now, a potential suspects in the case has made a stunning admission: they’re all gay.
The background: Dacera checked into a hotel in Makati City, the Phillipines on New Year’s Eve with three men, all co-workers. The group had planned to celebrate the holiday together. Security footage from the hotel shows Dacera partying with 11 different men throughout the evening.
In the early hours of the morning, one of the men attending the gathering, Gregorio de Guzma–the son of well-known Filipino singer Claire dela Fuente–discovered Dacera passed out in a bathtub. He attempted to perform CPR on her before taking her to the hospital. Dacera died shortly thereafter.
Police have since asserted that Dacera had lacerations to her genitals, and that examiners discovered sperm on her body, suggesting that she had been a victim of sexual assault. Officers subsequently arrested the men spotted checking into the hotel with Dacera–John Pascual Dela Serna III, Rommel Galido and John Paul Halili–charging all three with rape and murder. The other men from the party, including de Guzma, have been labed “suspects at large” but not arrested.

Gregario de Guzma, however, asserts that the men at the party couldn’t have raped Dacera: they’re all gay.
“How did it become rape? I am gay. I never had sex with any woman ever in my life,” de Guzma told ABS-CBN TV. “Every one of [the men at the party] was gay,” he further asserted. “My impression of her was she liked to hang out with us, LGBT members. She was comfortable with us. The entire time she was really comfortable with every one of us.”
Police have since released Dela Serna, Galido and Halili following an autopsy of Dacera. Said examination revealed that she died of an aneurysm. The medical examiner also found no semen on her body.
“No evidence medically or scientifically was presented to prove that the cause of death or the rupture of aortic aneurysm was by reason of the alleged rape,” the report stated. “Likewise, if homicide was committed, the person/s responsible is/are yet to be ascertained through further evidence.”
CNN now reports that, despite the report and the sexual orientation of the suspects, Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Debold Sinas has vowed to “hunt down” the suspects in Dacera’s death, and continues to assert that she was raped and killed. He also claims that the aneurysm that killed Dacera was brought on by sexual assault.
The family of Dacera, meanwhile, has also called for a second autopsy.

I don’t know if Darcera is acting naive and playing the “gay” card to try and get off or if he’s really that dopey when it comes to identity, sexuality, orientation and sexual assault. Just because all those dudes partied together and sexually engaged with each doesn’t mean that they’re all “gay”. While raping someone has very little to do with your attractions towards that person. It’s about power, megalomania, control before it’s about anyone’s attractions. While there are plenty of gay identifying guys who are not homosexual or who are willing to sexually engage with women. Plenty of guys embrace “gay” identities because of a “gay lifestyle” or because they feel “mostly homo” or because they don’t like women romantically or because they prefer persistent same-sex company, affections, passions, romantic attention, relationships, commitments. It often does not have to do with either being inherently homosexual or being committed to a homo lifestyle. While we’re talking about a bunch of random guys at a drugged-up sex party. Drug-filled sex parties with strangers aren’t about attractions or sexual passions. They’re about partying and danger and feeling high and paraphiliacs. A female has no business being there by herself. It doesn’t matter if they’re “queers”. Hell, it’s often unsafe for guys to be in those types of environments. And this was during Covid. So, the gathering shouldn’t have happened at all.
There’s a chance Dercera and the couple of dudes he came with had nothing to do with her death. But clearly at least one of those guys they partied with did. Just an overall messy, tragic situation.

?? Drug fueled sex parties are very much about sexual attraction and having sex with who you are attracted to. Stating that “clearly one of the guys” did have something to do with her demise is completely overlooking the reality of the local police and their attitudes towards the gay community. Ask the local gays about police corruption and the struggles they face as a result.

I was born in the Philippines & I think this is more of a matter of the police being incompetent & corrupt – typical in poor countries: Yes, just because they’re gay it doesn’t mean they didn’t rape her. However, those 3 suspects were the ones who tried to revive her & get help. It’s likely due to a health condition or something accidental:

Very well could be accidental or a drug overdose and more about police corruption and/or incompetence. There still is no determination of death. It was just incredibly naive for Guzma (I mistakenly referred to Guzma as the victim’s name in my post) to claim because him and friends embrace “gay” identities that they couldn’t have touched her or that because those dudes that they didn’t know partied with them (and likely sexually engaged with them) that they couldn’t have done anything. This ain’t Legally Blonde.

I try to respect the police, but it really irks me when they refuse to admit that they may be wrong. The medical examiner says she died from an aneurysm. Aneurysms often happen suddenly with zero signs of the condition. This chief of police, instead of accepting the ME’s cause of death and dropping his original claims now insists the aneurysm was caused by sexual assault. Abuse of powers such as this reminds me of our outgoing Prez.

SO the police lied and claimed there was semen on the body so they could go after the gay guys and protect the straight guys at the party.

Barry, a lot of people who don’t know how to deal with their trauma or guilt or fluidity or contradictions become like that. They end up becoming homophobic, anti-gay and/or “born again”. Sometimes they become megalomaniacs or hysterics. My sister is an example of that (though she’s not aggressively homophobic). That’s why it is important to acknowledge the realities of confusions, contradictions, fluidity and be okay with them. It helps to de-fange the “ex-gays” who become resentful and homophobic.
