A 14-year-old boy in Rome has committed suicide after being bullied and a struggle to accept his sexual orientation, reports Pink News.
The teenager, whose name hasn’t yet been released, killed himself by jumping from a balcony on August 11 and is reported to have left his family two apologetic messages —one handwritten and the other on a USB drive.
One of the messages read: “I am a homosexual, no one understands my drama and I do not know how to make it acceptable to my family.”
Although his friends said they were unaware the boy was suffering, investigators have revealed the boy was subject to constant bullying, including text messages on his phone about his sexual orientation which proved to be too difficult for the teen who felt he had no one to turn to.

Very sad.

I knew kids in high school who were obviously gay, and were very rarely bullied. The only situation I can think of was when in grade 8, Melissa G., after hearing that Ricky M. had kissed Sheila S., said that Ricky probably wished it had been Sheila’s brother Shawn.
Yet today, when it’s suppose to be ok to be a gay kid, the bullying is massive, even for kids who are not actually gay, just perceived as such. What the fuck happened?

Very sad. I have been bullied for being gay (and fought back) and have known many who were bullied and felt almost pushed to the edge of suicide. It’s one of the most basic forms of inhumanity, and I really feel for this young man and for all people of all ages (because it happens to adults too) who’ve been subjected to this.

The key is in the family acceptance. Bullied kids who have a supportive family are more likely to fight back. This boy was harassed both in his family and in school. In fact, it seems family acceptance was more important to him and that is why he killed himself.

Putting it simply —
” Very sad…..bullied…..It’s one of the most basic forms of inhumanity……”
Bullies are Satan’s children, to put it in religious terms.
