We always get a little giddy when we welcome guys like porn actor, director & producer Jason Sparks to the studio. (You might have seen him in our Hustlaball slideshow.)

This enterprising guy didn’t get started in porn until he was 30, but he’s sure making huge strides with a trio of pay-per-view sites and frequent free webcam shows. And unlike mos
t, he doesn’t sit at home and wait for the guys to come to him; he travels constantly mining cities large and towns small for the next fresh face. (What, you don’t look at their faces?)
Jason tells us what’s bigt in porn right now (kink is way hot these days), why he won’t produce bareback (even if it’s all the rage ) and why Washington, DC, boys are notoriously camera-shy. (Jump right to our Jason chat at the 57:45 mark.)
But it’s not all porn all the time at the Swish Edition. We’re also introducing you to gay folk-rocker Humble Tripe and offering a conversation with their mastermind, Shawn Luby.
This Durham, NC, group has a very unique sound, weaving stories and emotions into their tunes. Nope, it’s not your everyday gay pop or dance music—which is why we love them. And we think you’ll love “Washington” and “Carnival,” two Humble Tribe songs that follow our chat. (Shawn kicks in at the 35:00 mark.)
Other topics include: Justin Bieber‘s new haircut ruins a toymaker’s bottom line, dirty things we read on Facebook, the 18 rules of using Grindr, Cher finally turns out for son Chaz at DWTS, oral sex might be as bad for you as smoking, Roseanne sells a new sitcom to NBC, Lance Bass’ new boy band creation and much gay hilarity.
Press play to start listening…
Scott Wallis is the co-host of the Queerty/GayCities-sponsored Swish Edition comedy & interview talk show. He tried watching porn with the sound down and folk music up…and it wasn’t so bad.

Does anyone at Queerty know ANYONE who hangs out in the classical music scene?
It’s either porn stars or pop music. And in this case, it’s both.
But is gay culture limited to that?
I’d love to hear about some of the openly gay classical musicians out there. They DO exist. Get an interview with John Corigliano, or David Del Tredici, or Ned Rorem, or any of the myriad of great contemporary composers who are also gay and out.
Often, one would think that the people at Queerty know nothing of gay culture outside the bar scene.

Does’nt anyone @ Queerty do proof reading? There are numerious mispellings and typographical errors, not only in this article but, others…SB

It is easy to do repetitive articles. Same format, basically the same article, just plug in the new name and a teaser picture, and grab a couple paragraphs from the guys promo.
Too many porn-star-bio articles makes the site seem trashy. I’m sure they get views, but serious people go elsewhere. People who are actually looking for porn, notice that the pictures here are just teasers. People who are not looking for porn, are likely looking for politics and culture. There are lots of serious porn sites. There are not many that cover serious politics and culture.
Politics and culture articles take more effort, but they really are the value of this site. A little spice is nice, but the real content seems to have gone missing recently.
