Memers aren’t holding back against Brett “I am not a rapist” Kavanaugh

You may have heard by now that Donald Trump‘s pick for the Supreme Court, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, has been accused of sexual assault.

Last weekend, just days after Kavanaugh had finished giving his testimony before the Senate, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford of California came forward to accuse the judge of sexually assaulting her at a house party back in high school.

“Brett Kavanaugh physically and sexually assaulted me during high school in the early 1980s,” Ford states in a letter sent to Sen. Diane Feinstein and later published by CNN. “He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing.”

Ford detailed the attack in graphic detail and said she was only able to escape after Kavanaugh’s classmate from Georgetown Preparatory School, Mark Judge, jumped on top of them, allowing her to lock herself in a bathroom and eventually escape the house.

The assault occurred in a suburban Maryland area home at a gathering that included me and four others. Kavanaugh physically pushed me into a bedroom as I was headed for a bathroom up a short stair well from the living room. They locked the door and played loud music precluding any successful attempt to yell for help.

In response to the accusations, 53-year-old Kavanaugh quickly issued a statement denying everything: “I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.”

His Republican sympathizers followed that up by releasing a letter signed by 65 women who claim they knew Kavanaugh very well in high school and not once did he ever try to rape them.

Republicans had hoped to hold a full vote on Kavanaugh’s confirmation by September 20. Yesterday, they announced the vote will be delayed until both Ford and Kavanaugh can testify in an open forum.

And now, the memes…
