We all know Stand For Marriage Maine/”Yes On 1″ is advertising on television — that’s what all these lying ads are about. But when it comes to the web, you might not know just how S4MM is using keyword advertising unless you live in Maine.
That’s because S4MM’s Google AdWords dollars are being targeted to Maine residents only. And what might someone find if they enter a Google or YouTube search for something like “Maine Equality”? Well, this:
And while we certainly aren’t encouraging that nefarious web practice of “click fraud,” know that everytime a visitor clicks on those ads, S4MM pays for it.
(Thanks, Galen!)
How about we take this to the next level?

In the second one (“gay marriage”), the ad that you are pointing is for No on 1, Protect Maine Equality. However, your post implies that this is an ad for opponents of marriage equality.
Voting NO keeps equality as law. Voting YES is a repeal of the equality laws.
Vote NO on question 1.

Every time I see that S4MM I can’t help but think Slave for Master. Too bad I can’t think of another M.

Obviously it’s a slave looking for two masters.
