The effervescent Deryck Todd and stylist supreme Patricia Field teamed up over the weekend to present Bowieball, a legendary celebration of David Bowie’s birthday, at Le Poisson Rouge
in Soho. (The Thin White Duke turns 65 on January 8!)
GayCities/Queerty photoblogger Jeffrey James Keyes showed up just before 2am, when Lady Rizo took the stage. Through the night, DJ Russ Manning of Twin Shadow was spinning between a wide range of musical acts—including Space Capone, Keanan Duffty, Michael Cavadias, Shane Rucker, Bridget Everett and Andrew Watt—while glam go-go dancers riled up a crowd of English glittermen, sexy dandies and glamour girls.
It was a party with a cause, as proceeds were donated to I’m From Driftwood.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
