San Franciscans always find a way to turn streets into outrageous and colorful fashion shows, and each year’s Pink Saturday celebration was no exception. As the Dyke March wound down Castro Street last night, the festivities revved up, fueled by a combination of booze and the advent of marriage equality in New York. People wore pink. They wore drag. They donned leather. They sprinkled glitter over their bodies. The showed off tats. Or, in some cases, they wore nothing at all. (The people who should never take their clothing off in public did, of course, thereby reinforcing an old rule.) Check out some pics from this year’s celebration.

Pink Saturday?!!
Dudes, Pink Saturday starts with a HUGE all-day party in Dolores Park hosted by ‘the girls’ of our communitaay… It culminates w/ a motorcycle parade thru the Mission (Dykes on Bykes) that eventually hits the Castreaux & starts the night. We all show up & we all cheer on the gurlz.
What you’ve shown is the same, predictable, shiz… What are you, mainstream media now?

A few people were going around in their underwear on Sunday. Most weren’t and it was not merely a question of modesty – there was an afternoon wind with temperatures cool enough that you really wanted to be wearing more outside, just to stay comfortably warm.
