Incredibly, although you might only be able to name half a dozen of them, IMDB lists him with 240 acting credits. His roles straddle the decades, starting with The Rocky Horror Picture Show in the mid-70s, via Annie, Legend (with Tom Cruise), Clue, Congo, The Hunt For Red October, and the original clown in the TV version of It.

The tweet has had over 30k likes and thousands of comments.

Even Rocky Horror co-star, Susan Sarandon, was moved to comment.

Curry sadly suffered a major stroke in 2012, leaving him using a wheelchair. Much of his work over the last dozen years has been as a voiceover actor. His absence on screen has mistakenly led some people to believe he’s no longer with us.

This was something a parody Tim Curry account was yesterday quick to remind people was not the case ahead of the great man’s 76th birthday tomorrow.

That tweet has had over 26k likes and prompted hundreds of more appreciative comments.

Here’s wishing Mr Curry the very happiest of birthdays!
