Russell Brand Brilliantly Takes Down Anti-Marriage Equality Arguments

Respected physician turned right-wing media whore Dr. Ben Carson is continuing on his homophobic anti-marriage equality tour of whatever conservative outlets will have him, but Russell Brand is having none of it.

Brand devotes an entire episode of his youtube series The Trews to annihilating Carson’s argument point by point, and his points are so well thought out and funny that it almost makes us forgive him for that awful Arthur remake from a few years back. Almost.

Anything that keeps Russell away from movie screens is fine by us, and it’s an added bonus that he’s a pretty witty ally.

I think Dr Carson’s Right Wing paranoia has lost him his past respect.

Brand also could have pointed out to Dr. Carson that slavery was once a “pillar of society.” I’d love to hear Carson’s rebuttal to that.

@PARKAVMAN: I was going to mention that Carson is “Accomplished,” but not “Respected.” Many of his professional peers in the medical field have distanced themselves from him and his anti-gay tirades. He was uninvited as a commencement speaker because of his vocal viewpoints. He’s truly bizarre.

As for Russell Brand, he’s awesome.

@Mezaien: I don’t know if you could handle it if you could watch it, It might shatter your perception that all homophobes and Republicans are white.
