When it comes to music by drag queens, nobody can hold a candle to Adore Delano. As a former American Idol and (spoiler alert) the first contestant to ever quit RuPaul’s Drag Race, Adore has already built up a loyal and formidable fan base.

After her decision to quit RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars during last night’s episode, Adore dropped a brilliant new single (and music video!) in what feels like an attempt to remind her fans that they love her for being her… not because of a television show.
“This song is definitely the heart of my new sophomore album,” Adore told Extra. “I wanted to show a more sophisticated side of me… I have a million sides to me and I’m excited to show them all to the world.”
How about we take this to the next level?

The new video definitely shows Adore’s love of grunge fashion and her unique aesthetics. It also serves as a gentle reminder to stay true to who you want to be, no matter what.

Ok now I get it. He just went on the show for media attention. A typical 20 something media whore. When I was watching the show I was thinking— he already was on a previous season and knew that he would be scrutinized so what did he expect…. It all makes sense now. I was never a fan of his nasty ass drag the first time around and didn’t know why he made it so far. If your going to be a drag queen do it right. Putting on some eye shadow and a wig from the dollar store and throwing on a denim jacket does not make a drag queen. Being a drag queen, I feel, is a form of art- he looked like he made absolutely NO effort. I DO think he is a great singer and really should focus on that. If he wants to dress up like a girl save it for Halloween.

I’m disappointed. I really liked Adore previously on RuPaul, but this was taking up a space that Ru could have given a different contestant, and then dropping a single/video right after the episode airs where she quits like Adore planned this all along. Self-promotion is fine– every celebrity self-promotes– but this seems needlessly selfish and inconsiderate to a different returning queen who might actually have wanted to play the game.

Yeah, I don’t know – I like Adore as a person, I think he’s a sweet kid, & like his videos with his mom (who’s super cool) on YouTube;
I can’t get into his “look” at all (or ever). His drag is, well, underwhelming & weird – More times than not, he looks like a disaster.
His music is actually even worse. I can’t fathom who actually listens to it on purpose.
The only one that comes to mind for actually having an interesting (& viable) song/video is the one & only ALASKA! The other bitches (apart from BIANCA or BOB THE DRAG QUEEN) can’t seem to touch what ALASKA does.

She loves RuPaul .She realized that they wanted her to grow in a way that she was not ready to.She had been depressed and was seeking love ,but Drag Race is not Love.Competition was not what she needed.She had to leave ,for her sense of security.So,let up dears.She’s still the best singer ,other than Jinkx .She will be around,but not a winner.Has anyone seen Willem? I’m just saying.She is good people.
