Constance McMillen (Sort Of) Has Her Own Line of Prom Dresses at Target

We would love to be able to say Zac Posen’s new collection for Target was inspired directly by Constance McMillen, but it wasn’t. Because Posen, who says his budget line was inspired by “lesbian proms,” designed the whole thing months and months ago, long before McMillen was a story.

Except his soundbites, now being delivered to drum up interest in the line, sure sound like they were uttered just for Constance: “Lesbian proms have been such a big thing in the news lately. Rather than create a fake subculture, I wanted to address things that are actually happening. … It’s a kick-ass girl who can wear a tuxedo to prom! Don’t be afraid of drama.” Then again, it was late last year that Cynthia Stewart was trying to bring her girlfriend to the prom, so maybe the Target collection is aimed at her?

Either way, if Posen and his marketing team was smarter, they’d be offering free dresses (and tuxedos) to them and their dates.

What is truly amazing is that Zac Posen finally found a hair stylest who was not visually impaired!! He actually looks hot for once!

@fredo777: Totally agree, but he always had hair that looked like it was a done by a cut rate backwoods mail order hair styling school dropout. He looks totally cute in that pic…

@fredo777: This is kinda like our own private thread! I think he is adorable – now! If you use the googles images to look at his hair before it really detracted from his cuteness factor. In the pic above he is absolutley adorable……..

@terrwill: @fredo777: i so hate to intrude on yr private moment, beccuz it’s sweet & fun, but Zac Posen is *do-able* & cute & because i am politicaly correct i must add he is “socially responsible” & “lesbian friendly.”

if he showed up @ my door, candles would be lit, nakedness would happen, and his next collection would include clothes 4 poor rural men who want 2 still look *FINE*!!

@terrwill: I have seen him before this photo + I don’t see much problem with his hair. I only object to the fact that he isn’t here right now allowing me to lovingly run my fingers + toes through all his curls.

Five dollars if you can tell me which musical I was loosely paraphrasing with that last bit.
