While we're seeing gay magazines struggle and die off in the U.S., the world's largest democracy is relaunching its first-ever gay rag Bombay Dost. With a little celebrity help from Bollywood bombshell, former Miss India, and gay activisit Celina Jaitly, Dost founding editor Ashok Row Kavi sees his title reborn. Admittedly, we've never read, nor laid hands on, this magazine. But we're excited to see what's inside the pages of a gay magazine printed in a country where the most public portray of gays is a Bollywood flick that features fake gays. just think of the thousands of secretly gay kids who will have a chance to see that they are the same as everyone else, good for India.
