Rick Santorum Is Just What Republicans Need In 2012

So Rick Santorum wants to be president! Sure, the former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania lost his re-election campaign in 2006. And sure, he managed to lose even without "play[ing] the bestiality card." But think what fun his campaign slogan could be: "No New Taxes! No New Homosexuals!"

And just when we thought Rick was going Hollywood.

Rick "the frothy mix of lube and fecal matter sometimes produced as a byproduct of engaging in vigorous anal sex" Santorum is a certifiable wingnut…and it would be sooo much fun to watch his attempt at a POTUS run.

Santorum and Palin 2012, the Rethuglican dream ticket. With Orly Taitz as their campaign manager, and Bobby "Kenneth/30 Rock" Jindahl as the Communications Director.

Seriously though, the 2012 nomination is Romney's to lose. We have to be prepared to take on that Mormon Millionaire Robot.

The moderate republicans would never vote for him.

Moderate republicans? What a hoot, an oxymoron if ever there were? The moderate republicans are the handful of conservative democrats who are trying to derail the health care reform we desperately need.

Santorum is going nowhere, neither is Palin. Their party has no message, its a party of followers, they can't think anything through logically or rationally. They have no new ideas and the only ideology is negativity. Whatever benefits the country is bad for them. They sure as hell don't give a damn about the 47 million uninsured and if they did, why didn't Bush 43 make that a priority when he first took office? What they do believe in is higher premiums for private insurance companies for less coverage reaping bigger profits and pharmaceutical industries in lockstep with them. Its about profit, nothing more, maintenance of the status quo and to hell with the rest of us.

I wouldn't mind betting there is some dirt on Santorum. Maybe we'll have another Mark Sanford emerging.

Don't you mean that you bet there is some Santorum on Santorum"? ;)

@Cam:

Cam, its very possible. At lot of these unabashed republican homophobes often have a lot of skeletons in their closets. Sanford for example nixed equality for South Carolina gays holding up the sanctity of marriage and the outworn republican one man one woman mantra. Yet, there he was committing adultery for years behind his wife's back, not once, but several times with different women. The ones who are the most vocal and negative about us are the most suspect of all.
