Lawyers for Senator Larry Craig, who’s again trying to overturn his toilet trolling disorderly conduct charge, claim the politico’s foot-tapping – a well-known signal for soliciting gay sex – could be protected by the first amendment. [CNN]
Ridiculous!

then I supposed any and all persons arrested and/or convicted under similar circumstances will also be exonerated?
John
He’s making the aftermath of his toilet trolling more embarrassing. Once you have pleaded guilty you lose the presumption of innocence, as I understand it. So, his lawyers are going to have to come up with stuff, but really hasn’t he disgraced his family and his state enough. I think he’s a pathetic excuse for a man, and I would feel sorry for him, but he has clearly remained in the Senate only for the benefits it bestows on him personally (see pension benefits, etc.), not out of any concern for the people of Idaho. So, I hope he reeps what he has sown, double.
I’m surprised there’s not more outrage.
Who cares if he’s gay or not, he’s a deceiver and a hypocrite, and he’s hurt a lot of people on the way. But Idaho will elect another Republican Senator to replace him (Reminds me of Marion Berry).
I hope he spends his last dime on his legal “appeals”, or are we the taxpayers paying for him to “clear his name” (lol)?
For shame!

ohmigod that freakin’ makes my day! Of course communication about the intent to commit a crime is NOT free speech. If it were, than a friggin’ ransom note would be inadmissible in court!
