A big congrats to the RuPaul’s Drag Race team, and of course RuPaul himself, for receiving their first ever Emmy Award nomination!
The 2016 Emmy nominees were announced on Thursday morning by Anthony Anderson and Lauren Graham, and RuPaul’s Drag Race received not only one, but two nominations. RuPaul was nominated in the category of Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality-Competition Program, and also Outstanding Costumes For A Variety, Nonfiction Or Reality Program for his costume in RuPaul’s Drag Race season 8, episode one (pictured above).
I dedicate this Emmy nomination to outsiders everywhere. Brave souls who stick to their dreams and make the world a more colorful place.

Tune in on Sunday, September 18th to find out if RuPaul will take home either awards.

About time.

@DCguy: Exactly! Plus, the show itself has deserved a nom since seasons ago.

This season actually deserved it. If it had been last season, no, absolutely not, but RuPaul should win an award just for pulling it back together and making this season more like the show we loved in the first place.

Fabulous! The other nominees are all nice folks, but don’t even come close to RuPaul’s achievement on this show. She’s gotta win. I’m thrilled. The LOGO folks must be peeing themselves. She IS that network!

Gw’one gurl. You deserve it.
