‘Savage’ Poppicock

Michael Savage made some more jaw-dropping history this week. The legendarily out-spoken radio host used Tuesday’s show to discuss AIDS on the African continent. Savage first had a firey exchange with a caller he dubbed “Kojo” and then offered this analysis of the United States’ HIV prevention and treatment programs: “We’re not supposed to criticize the president because he wants to send $45 billion to that corrupt continent — for AIDS, which is a behavioral disease. It can be controlled only by behavior, not by money. Oh, education has really worked for the AIDS epidemic in America. It’s really stopped the homosexual community from interacting in their well-known manners.”

This sort of prejudice and absolute ignorance just makes me despair for the human race.

I have a dream . . .

If only somebody could find another unoccupied land mass, colonize it, and admit people based on a rigorous bigotry test, then we could all live there peacefully while Mr Savage and his moronic cohorts tear each other apart in glorious self-destructive carnage.
