(Surprisingly Wise) Words…

“I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place. Its distracting from the real issues, the real everyday problems that this country experiences.” – “Lesbian” Lindsay Lohan on potential veep Palin and her many scandals. [Us via MG]

The scare quotes around “Lesbian” are becoming less and less necessary, it seems.

And what does it say when Lindsay Lohan is making more sense than some of the pundits I’ve been watching on television today? I’m turning off CNN and turning on E! as I type this.

The problem, Lindsay, is that Sarah Palin has no plans to “make our country a less destructive place.” Her winning smile, charming family, and breasts are all there to distract us from the even more destructive things McCain has planned.

Is MIss Lindsay a republican?
Unfortunately Palin’s “many scandals” say a lot about her. If she can’t keep her house in order, how can she keep the country in order. One thing our current VP (please don’t make me type his name) did is opened up more responsibility to the VP office. I think there will be an expectation of the next VP to continue to have more responsibility.

Confused: By “her house” I hope you mean the state of Alaska and not her home life. If you do mean her home life, that’s a pretty sexist statement. Why is it the woman’s responsibility to maintain the family? And why should the daughter’s actions reflect on Sarah Palin’s candidacy?

@Robert:

I mean that for anybody. Their house should be in order. I am hoping that they will continue having the VP have more responsibility. But it may not be the case

And I also hope that ones children would come first before their job. I am the son of a single mother and I know how hard it was for my mother.

So don’t pull the “woman’s responsibility” with me. I know women work quite hard. I just find it ironic the of all people the statement came from Lindsay Lohan.

“many scandals” is a distraction and can get in the way of someone being effective at their job. Especially if it is public office. Just look at all the resignations over the past year

That’s all I meant.

BTW her daughter is still a minor so it would be considered a reflection since her mother is a candidate for VP for the “pure and righteous” party.

Shut up Lindsay, go back doing what your good at: Doing coke lines, driving drunk, and pretending to be a lesbian, oh and getting paid ridiculous amounts of money pretending to be someone else. No one cares what you have to say.

Confused #3 I’m curious to know if you think the Clintons’ house is in order. Bill has cheated on Hillary 3 times that we know about. I find it interesting that the gays are quick to attack republicans for personal they face, but are so quick to defend democracts. You can’t have it both ways.

And can somebody tell me why anyone would be interested in what Lindsay Lohan has to say about anything? I suppose this skank is interested in hearing what that skank from Alaska might have to say.

She’s blogging about politics now – I don’t think she’s faking being a lesbian anymore! She always pinged on my radar even back in Freaky Friday…

No. 6, like it or not, lots of young girls still look up to Lindsay as a role model. I roll my eyes whenever I hear my younger sister and her friends rave on and on about her, so now I’m glad that their idol is sitting at home paying attention to politics rather than doing lines of coke. Maybe it’ll become the next cool thing for the young ones to do!
