Stephen Dunne's lawsuit against the Massachusetts bar association just got dumber. If that's possible, of course.

The failed lawyer filed a suit over a question on gay marriage, which Dunne skipped.

The suit says the question in question required applicants to “affirmatively accept, support and promote homosexual marriage and homosexual parenting.” The failed lawyer claims the question violated state law - which it doesn't, because Massachusetts allows gay marriage - as well as his freedom of religion.

The Gayest Hour In CNN History!

Paris Hilton wasn't the only big draw last night on CNN.

Paula Zahn and her lisp spent an hour exploring the ins and outs of homosexuality on last night's Paula Zahn Now. Like any good journo, Zahn took some time to explore that old nature v. nurture debate, changing opinion on the gays and scientific and moralistic missions to "cure" those who are bit bent.

It's been a while since we actually tuned in to see CNN's dreamboat anchor Anderson Cooper. Sure, we love him, but we're still a little miffed about him taking Aaron Brown's old time slot. Our friend Jeremy Hooper, however, apparently owes more loyalty to Cooper, because he clicked over to see ex-gay spokesperson Alan Chambers (pictured, looking gayer than even you) chatting about Ted Haggard's alleged heterosexuality.

A real mensch, Hooper's provided a link to the entire transcript, but we'd like to discuss one particular snippet:

COOPER: …Do you still have attraction to men? You're just choosing not to act on it?

CHAMBERS: My attraction greatly diminished over the course of many years. Sixteen years into it, my life isn't even remotely the same as it once was, but I often say that I will never be as though I never was.

And the truth is that I'm a human being. And for me to say that I could never be attracted to men again, or that I couldn't be tempted would mean that I'm not human, and that's just not the case.

We can't help but wonder, then, why so many people find the ex-gay movement appealing. Sure, we understand they're trying to reconcile their religion and sexuality, but if even the movement's most vocal proponent admits it doesn't work, why do people continue to have faith? Oh, right, because people are stupid.

Cutie-patootie Jeremy Hooper over at Good as You just sent us this link and we thought we'd pass it along. Apparently he's made an appearance on gay news show, In The Life and caused quite a stir. Though most people write to congratulate him, he got a not-so-love note from a Pennsylvania man reading thus:

I just saw your clip on T.V… You CAN'T just expect everyone to be okay with you, and your life. Your (sic) a fag, and that fine, but keep it to yourself. Trust me, if I ever walk by you on the street with my kids and I see you kissing or holding hands with some dude, I'll brake (sic) every bone in your gay little body. Keep your shit behind closed doors, so children can't see you.

In a bit of an ironic twist, this nearly incoherent message came from a dude calling himself "beefman".

A regular Nancy Drew, Hooper connected the dots and found that the man works for Philadelphia-based, Enterprise Steaks. Now, Hoopers's asking his readers to take matters into their own hands by sending some love notes of their own. So, if you're down to stir some shit, head on over and join the fun. Bring us back a steak. We're famished..

Heeding our call for your Youthful pictures, fellow blogger Jeremy Hooper of Good As You sent us this comparative study. On the left, you see Hooper circa 1985. Looks like a sweet kid. Then, on the right, you see a shot snapped last year. Notice the difference? Well, there's not much of one: still looks pretty sweet to us. Which makes us wonder, of course, what he's hiding? No doubt some deep dark dementia lies behind those pretty little eyes.

We’re really honored to be one of the nominees for Best GLBT Weblog over at The Bloggies. The other nominees, Joe My God, Towleroad, Good As You, and Little Yellow Different are all frequent reads of ours. Our editor has performed alongside Joe, made brunch for Ernie, and put a few back with Andy. We don’t know that little fellow over at Good As You, but we’re sure we’d love him too.

So vote for us or for them. It’s just nice being acknowledged for the work we’ve been doing and we promise to keep up the news, the attitude, and the nonsense.
