An interview between ABC Nightline host Terry Moran and professional maggot/Breitbart grotesquerie Milo Yiannopoulos didn’t go exactly according to plan.
Not that Moran wasn’t onto something. During the course of the exchange, he alternately called Milo “revolting,” an “idiot,” and accused him of having the mentality of a “13-year-old” boy.
We imagine 13-year-old boys will be firing away angry screeds on Twitter.
During the story, which was all about “trolling,” ABC described Yiannopoulos as “the tip of the iceberg in a rising tide of hate and abuse in social media, one he clearly sees as a noble purpose.”

Moran wondered if Yiannopoulos would be willing to call Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones a “dude” if she were standing before him. (Yiannopoulos has particularly been targeting her on Twitter, for some ungodly reason.) He responded that he “probably would.”
“Then you’re an idiot,” Moran fumed. “You’re going to go after somebody’s body to go after their ideas? Are you a 13-year-old?”
As peroxided millennial homocon silverfish are wont to do, Yiannopoulous tries to paint himself as a “virtuous troll” who’s doing “God’s work.” He reckons himself a social engineer and Situationist prankster who gamely jabs at sensitive issues in order to get the people talking.
“My rudeness creates conversation,” he crows, “provokes people into saying oh what a monster, and then 20% of people start talking about what I was actually saying I will consider my career to be a terrific success.”

For me, Milo is a broken clock… I absolutely agree with him on modern day feminism, and the pussification of liberalism (trigger warnings, safe spaces, social justice warriors, Islam apologists, etc.) and that’s all I can agree with him on. You cannot get your feeling hurt on social media unless you are willingly looking to get hurt. We throw shit at each other all the time, and when I don’t want to address someone anymore, I just ignore them and move on. We as liberals are letting these regressives take over and censor anything that hurts feelings to shields from uncomfortable realities… it’s why it gets harder and harder to identify as a liberal.

If the interview didn’t go as he planned, it’s because the interviewer behaved like an unprofessional child, and it’s hard to get your point across when your being screamed over and interrupted. Again, say what you will about Milo, but you cannot argue that he doesn’t behave respectfully and professionally when being interviewed or participating in a debate. My guess is this interviewer saw how easily Milo deals with other interviewers, so figured the only chance he had was by screaming over him.
As a liberal, and not a leftist, I’m glad Milo is around to mess with these people.

Sorry, but that is EXACTLY what Matt Staver and Tony Perkins do — they say outregeous things about gays that they know are untrue, but they want people “talking” and giving money, and they appear perfectly normal and nice in interviews. That is what drives us up the wall.
The reporter saw through Milo’s schtick and was having none of it. Sometimes you have to pull back the curtain and say this is pure idiocy, and why are we giving air time to this? Milo the homeroom version of Ann Coulter, and I WISH someone would do the same for her, but everyone is too scared and they all want to look balanced and respectful. It is that WEAKNESS that Milo and Coulter take advantage of.

I can tell you now, if you don’t want “abusive” or “targeted” language on internet forums, then you don’t want the Internet. He has become part of this celebration. The class of people he appeals to are those who have never been able to lift themselves from the bottom of the socio-economic scale largely because they don’t have the intelligence and ambition to do so. They have lived their lives with an entitlement that has told them that just because their skin is white they are due a mindless job in some factory where they push a button and are paid a livable wage. Those days are gone and the light has illuminated the fact that they have nothing to offer society. Instead of bettering themselves they are attempting to assert their value by means of ” upside down perception”. The same perception that allows them to believe alternative facts. This allows them to denigrate liberals into “coastal elites” where those who have an education, participate in professions that have elevated our world like technology and biotechnology are the ones to be laughed at and looked down upon. It has allowed them to demonize education, critical thinking skills and superior intelligence. They have created a universe for themselves where being at the bottom is being at the top and vice-versa. Milo is exploiting this new illusion to the max and helping to reinforce it. A self loathing gay man leading a culture celebrating its own self hatred.
