Antigay Extremist Maxim Martsinkevich Arrested In Cuba

maxim-martsinkevich-03 Violent Russian antigay extremist Maxim Martsinkevich is finally behind bars.

Edge On The Net is reporting via Russia’s official news agency RIA Novotsi that Matsinkevich, AKA “Machete,” was arrested in Cuba on Sunday.

Matsinkevich was the brutal and terrifying public face of Russia’s “Occupy Pedophilia” movement, and filmed several horrifying attacks on gay men in Russia who had been lured by online ads.

Although “Occupy Pedophilia” claimed that the men had answered online ads looking to hook up with underage teens, that was never proven. Antigay extremists in Russia as well as Russian President Vladimir Putin have repeatedly attempted to make connections with gays and minors in order to justify the harsh climate toward gays in the country.

We previously reported that Matsinkevich had fled to Cuba sometime around December after being charged with “extremism” in Russia. Once safely in Cuba, he took to his social media outlets to share his desire to serve a “virtual sentence” from there, but it’s looking like “Machete” had no such luck.

There is no word on how long Matsinkevich is facing in prison, but LGBT people Russia can at least be secure in the fact that one violent homophobe is off the streets in advance of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
