All signs for season seven of RuPaul’s Drag Race are pointing to the casting of Derrick Barry…
Legendary Britney Spears impersonator, Derrick Barry, hinted on Tumblr about the possibility of being cast on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7. It seems highly likely that he will make this next season, if how the show has stepped up the notoriety of its cast in the past three seasons (i.e. Willam Belli, Chad Michaels, Coco Montrese, Bianca Del Rio, Adore Delano, Courtney Act and Kelly Mantle) is any sign of what they’re looking for.

Derrick is known across America for making it to the top 40 of the NBC television series America’s Got Talent and currently has over 10,000 followers on Instagram, over 9,000 on Facebook and over 3,500 on Twitter. Not only does he currently perform in Las Vegas with season 5 contestant Coco Montrese, but he was also given a shout out (although not named directly) in season 6 during a confrontation Trinity K. Bonet had with Bianca Del Rio and Vivacious. Check out the confrontation:

Derrick would become the fourth professional female celebrity impersonator to make it onto the show, following in the footsteps of Venus D Lite (Madonna impersonator), Chad Michaels (Cher impersonator) and Coco Montrese (Janet Jackson impersonator).
If casting has anything to do with who you know (think Sahara:Manila, Sharon:Alaska or Willam:Detox), than we put all our money on Derrick being cast on season 7! Not only does Derrick currently work with Coco Montrese in Las Vegas, but his first big entertainment break came from his relationship with Chad Michaels.

I really dont think he will! He is more well known in Vegas and outside of Vegas then Coco was, he would really be the season’s Courtney! I wouldnt go by the followers online, Frank Marino himself has a very small following considering his standing and who he is! It would get Derrick’s name out there again
