Courtney Act Launches Video Diary Series, Is Mocked By Bianca Del Rio The Whole Time

Screen Shot 2014-07-12 at 1.58.29 PMWhat happens to drag queens after they appear on RuPaul‘s Drag Race?

Do they evaporate? Are they locked in a padded room and forced to appear in Gilead ads for the rest of their lives? What exactly is Logo’s Drag Race tour?

All these questions and more are answered in this week’s installment of “The Courtney Chronicles”, a new video diary series season 6 runner-up Courtney Act has launched on YouTube.

The first episode below follows final three queens Adore Delano, Courtney Act and Bianca Del Rio, as well as a less-polished friend named Darienne Lake, on a trip to perform at World Pride in Toronto. Highlights from the premiere episode include Bianca’s tips for winning RuPaul’s Drag Race, awesome footage of Toronto’s World Pride parade, and several shots of Courtney performing her new single “Mean Gays“.

Check it out below, and see if you can determine how many pairs of false eyelashes Bianca Del Rio wears on her bottom lid:

Seriously, Queerty, the season is long over. Can we please drop this tired Darienne Lake snark already?

@Matthew Tharrett: Fine, then perhaps I’d rather read the top three gay blogs, Towleroad, Joe My God, and Good As You… and occasionally check out their less-polished friend, Queerty.

I wanna comment about Ian Thorpe. He seems to be a very, very sad person and I hope his coming out will help him be a better and happier man. He shouldn’t have waited for so long.

@Matthew Tharrett: Why DOES queerty like to snark about Darienne Lake? I don’t understand. She was no Roxxxy or even Phi Phi who has grown on me since Season 4.

Also, I might not have thought she deserved top 4 placing, but one thing you can’t really say about Darienne Lake is that she isn’t polished. You do know that phrase actually means more than just “I don’t like her” right? Darienne’s makeup was always flawless. Always. You could say “less entertaining friend” or “more bitter friend”, but less polished?

Well I will say that it seemed every single outfit she had was an ill-fitting black bottom and a sparkly top. That lack of costuming could definitely come off as unpolished when put up against Bianca’s tailoring and Courtney’s store bought costumes.

I guess I don’t fully understand the Darienne Lake snark. Seems kinda mean-spirited.
