Go-Go Boy Special-Ed Teacher Fired For Using School Email For Craigslist Hookups

matthew-maleskiA New York special education elementary school teacher and part-time dancer was fired Tuesday after a fellow teacher caught him using a class email account to set up Craigslist hookups.

According to the New York Daily News, Matthew Maleski, 32, worked as an occupational therapist at the Upper East Side’s P.S. 183 for over a year. He was fired when a co-teacher found responses to “sexy Craigslist personal ads” — including photos of him in his boxers and nothing else — in their shared school Gmail account.

Maleski also appears in the YouTube video, “I Just Wanna F*ckin’ Dance!” (below, NSFW), a promo for a monthly dance party in San Francisco last year featuring drag queens, go go boys and Andrew Christian Underwear models soaking down a car and, of course, each other.

In the video, Maleski is billed as a special guest and, in the breathlessly typed words of the NYDN, is “grind dancing,” “gyrating his chiseled body” and flaunting “his ripped abs.”

All right, besides that NYDN reporter, who else needs a cold shower?

A shared gmail acct? R u serious? Really? Special ed teacher
needs some special ed with a large helping of COMMON SENSE. And
he is supposed to be working while at work. Guess the little
head was doing all the thinking.

    Stupid for getting caught.
    That’s all.

  • Gigi Gee

Matt needs to spend less time working on his perty abs and more time using his brain.

  • Fidelio

This is so incredulous that it almost seems as though Matt WANTED to get caught.

  • Caleb in SC

    Hes foking stoopid!

  • miagoodguy

    Perfectly justified firing.

  • oilburner

He deserves to be fired. He also needs to make up his mind does he want to be a stripper “go go boy” or a special education teacher . And the fact that he was foolish enough to use a shared email account proves he’s too dumb to be teaching & and should stick to. Exactly what he’s good @. Which is stripping most likely escorting and making bad choices . This guy has no business teaching kids. Although he probably feels he’s entitled to do whatever he wants because he’s a go go boy lol

Matthew Maleski apologized for the racy emails that offended the teacher who had been sharing the email account with Maleski; he said he had sent the emails during non-work hours using his cellphone, which had automatically linked up a number of his email accounts — including the one from PS 183. The emails were described as having attached pictures of himself clad only in boxers to his email responses to Craigslist’s notorious personal ads, according to officials.

Don’t know that much about cell phones as I barely use the one I have.
So I could see something like that happening.

The guy shouldn’t have used school e-mails, and the school can absolutly fire him.

Just curious, would the other teacher have complained if he was straight and the e-mails were to women on match.com though?

  • Eric Auerbach

@Cam: If he’d sent photos of himself in his underwear to those women, then yeah, probably.

Guy’s a dumbass, pure and simple

There may be more to this story. I first read about this story on a different site, and according to that site’s version, the emails were sent from his phone. He updated his phone or it was reconfigured (sorry, I don’t remember exactly what it said), so he didn’t realize that his work and personal email accounts became synched. So maybe this really was a big mistake…who knows.
However, it should serve as a warning to all who want to be teachers: you are ALWAYS being watched.

  • hyhybt

@Fidelio: Had to be. It’s not like email accounts are hard to come by; why else would you use a work one, especially a shared account, for that kind of business?

  • Tommysole

    Stupid asshole!
What the hell is wrong with him for doing that on a school email system? In this day of smart phones and tablets, and all the different ways to get online, he could have used that instead of the email the school has.

  • JAW

    LOL… Too Funny…

    ;-)

  • Dixie Rect

    Stupid is as stupid does.

  • balehead

Geez!….He obviously made a mistake!….so typical of the hate on this site for cute guys!…..

  • Polaro

Seriously, most of you guys need to lighten up. The guy made a date using email. Its not like that is a crime. If he were straight no one would have cared. He sent a picture in boxers…also no big deal and not illegal. Way too harsh to fire him for that.

  • stfallon1028

The real question is: Why the hell does a guy that sexy need craigslist? And Queerty has presented yet another face palm inducing moment from the gay community…

  • armanvilleg

    well that was stupid mistake.

  • Billysees

    @mikro: 1

    Lol……lol……lol.

You’re still making good sense I see.

    Hope you’re doing well.

  • Dmitry

He obviously did a mistake and it is not appropriate to do so during the work time but I don’t think that he had to be fired for that in this sense. It does not matter what he does in his personal life… Which another part-time job he has… I bet he would not go further then just using his school’s email account during the lunch break… Fire for not proper using the school’s email…This is crazy!!!!

“Don’t shit where you eat” as the saying goes . . .

Nonetheless, taking someone’s livelihood away for a peccadillo like this seems a bit extreme. The world has become so prudish.

No article I’ve read mentions what kind of hook-ups these were. Rather, they’re letting us connect-the-dots and assume they were gay. For the record, the majority of those hunky dancers and bartenders at Splash & XL are straight, and so are the models on the pages for hook-up sites like Hornet.

    Straight people hook-up, too.

  • hyhybt

@Pete: I suspect the implication is meant to be that the hook-ups were *paid.*
