On the eve of World Pride, former Vice President and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden stopped into the Stonewall Inn to court potential voters.
Biden also bought a round for all the bar patrons as he went about introducing himself and shaking hands with the various visitors. The move followed two major fundraisers in New York for the former vice president, who also brought two major out-queer supporters in tow: former DNC finance chairman Henry R. Muñoz III and lawyer Tim Gill. Biden’s wife, Dr. Jill Biden, also attended.

The Biden campaign released a statement following his stop. “VP Biden and Dr. Biden,” it read, “stopped by Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, New York this afternoon to commemorate 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising and demonstrate their unwavering support for the LGBTQ community during Pride Month and the NYC World Pride celebrations.”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Biden currently leads the crowded field of 2020 Democratic candidates in most national polls.

Countdown to the right winger accounts coming on pretending to be offended by this, and attacking Democrats for going to Stonewall.
(Meanwhile, they defend Republicans who have a platform attacking our civil rights in their platform).
Brian
Obviously that countdown is longer than you coming here and making the exact same post you make 50 times a day.
Cam
@Brian It’s interesting, you seem to never be able to argue with any of my points, you just seem to get enraged that I point out all of the anti-LGBT troll accounts. Hmmmm, now why does that upset you so.
Chrisk
I love it. There was a time not too long ago kids when this would’ve never of taken place.
truthseeker
This is what pandering looks like
Chrisk
Joe has always been gay supportive though. When Trump makes a gay pride proclamation or holds the flag wrongly then yes. That is pandering.
Cam
Hey! Thank you for proving my first comment right!
The account that always defends anti-LGBT bigots and Republican hatred of us, wants to attack the politicians who support us? LOL!!
Wow, please send smarter troll accounts.
Jared MacBride
So what if it’s pandering? That’s what politicians do, all of them. At least he isn’t pandering to nut cases like you know who is . . .
truthseeker
@Chrisk
No he hasn’t. He only supported gays when it was politically convenient. He has voted against gays in his career
@Jared MacBride
Because it’s being dishonest. Joe will go whichever way the wind blows. He was for the Iraq war, then against it. He was against abortion then for it. He was against gay marriage then for it. The list goes on.
Politicians play that game a lot. They play like they’re your best buddy every 4 years then when elected, they do nothing but help their special interest donors. Joe is no different.
TDawg84
To whoever said Biden has always been supportive he hasn’t as he didn’t support marriage till 2015. This is pandering. I wish this site covered the candidate who allowed Pride parades as Mayor in the 80s as well as supported gay marriage since then: Bernie Sanders
winemaker
Ole touch and feely joe, what an asskisser, pure and simple. And this folks is a perfect example of pandering. God help us if this socialist gets in.
Jared MacBride
@Truthseeker – No politician thinks about whether what they say is true or false, only how they can spin it. Biden is no different than any other in this regard. @TDawg84 – when is your hero Bernie going to join the Democrat party? Or is he just going to keep promising people free stuff. Bernie is a clown and your statement about Biden is astonishingly inaccurate.
Rock-N-RollHS
Oh, fakeseeker, little miz bitter. Actually, Biden was pro-gay marriage before Obama.
Kangol2
Very cool. He’s not my first choice but if he gets the Dem nomination he’ll get my vote.
Cam
Absolutely.
Doug
Me too.
jkb
He can buy me a drink, but he’s not getting my vote.
Rock-N-RollHS
Maybe you can be Trump’s butt boy. He’s running out of them.
bonbon
Just another horrible neoliberal.
JessPH
President Joe Biden.
