Jonathan Bailey flaunts his fashion pedigree (and jacked muscles) in photo shoot ahead of ‘Fellow Travelers’

Jonathan Bailey can serve Blue Steel better than Derek Zoolander could ever dream.

The out British actor, who gained international fame portraying hunky hetero heartthrob Anthony Bridgerton on Netflix‘s period romance hit Bridgerton, definitely has the face and body to rival those of any male supermodel—real or fictional.

Bailey showed off his fashion pedigree–and rippling muscles–striking a slew of fierce poses for a sizzling spread in VMan magazine.

The 35-year-old got everyone hot and bothered as he rocked a white tank top under a shearling leather jacket, both by Ralph Lauren, for the magazine’s digital cover.

Among the other lewks Bailey turned out included: a brown leather Prada car coat, a light blue denim ensemble by Brunello Cucinelli, and a sickening Miu Miu olive green hooded leather jacket.

But it’s his deceptively simple all black Dolce & Gabbana tank top, belt and slacks that he accessorized with a cross chain and Omega watch that will have most of us mere mortals working hard to recreate by putting long hours at the gym doing bicep curls and shoulder presses. Category is: body-ody-ody!

While Bailey is known for his dapper style, he’s set to display a lot more of his fit physique playing gay lovers with fellow out actor Matt Bomer in the upcoming historical drama Fellow Travelers.

Based on Thomas Mallon’s 2007 novel of the same name, the Showtime series centers on the decades-long romance between two men (Bailey and Bomer) who first meet during the height of McCarthyism–and the Lavender Scare–of the 1950s.

The 8-episode miniseries will follow as their relationship maneuvers through the gay liberation movement, the Vietnam War, the sexual revolution and hedonism of the ‘70s, and the early days of the AIDS epidemic in the ‘80s.

Early reviews have been delirious about the “horny” on-camera alchemy between Bailey and Boomer.

Variety noted, “the inherent heaviness of ‘Fellow Travelers’ is alleviated by Bomer and Bailey’s electric chemistry.” Entertainment Weekly concurred by adding, “the magnetism and pathos of the series’ central duo remains powerful throughout.”

While the Daily Beast raved with its eye-catching headline: “The Astonishing ‘Fellow Travelers’ Is Pornographic Prestige.” Consider us seated!

In addition to the riveting performances and sex scenes, fashion plays a key role in nailing down the look and emotion of the different eras.

“Queer culture blooms like a flower,” Bailey said in a promo video for the series, “and that’s exactly what you get to see in terms of the monochrome colors of the ‘50s to the ‘80s where there’s this neon pop of color.”

Fellow Travelers premieres Friday, October 27, on streaming & on-demand for all Showtime and Paramount+ with Showtime® subscribers before making its on-air debut on Showtime Sunday, October 29, at 9 pm ET/PT.
