L.A. Fashion Week Begins

Paul Smith flagship store L.A.

Two buzzworthy shows of the L.A. Fashion Week kick-off weekend featured the feathery, sheer, and rather tacky designs of Kevan Hall and the Carmen-Electra-approved collection of Louis Verdad. Carmen likes Louis’s designs because they have “an edgy quality.” Now that Carmen Electra is the arbitrater of edginess, we can finally stop trying so hard and go back to shopping at Le Chateau.

Even though we might miss such illustrious characters as Matthew Perry (remember, one of the three guys from Friends who used to be cute and is now puffy) and the Hilton Sisters, if we were in L.A. this week, we would skip the shows and spend our time at the new Paul Smith flagship store trying on expensive suits and sighing.
