An insider source close to the first lady tells People that the First Lady is absolutely horrified over what’s happened to her reputation.
“What’s happening is exactly what she didn’t want to happen,” the source says. “They’ve literally become like the Kardashians: scandals, divorces, headlines.”
From the Stormy Daniels lawsuit to the special counsel investigation into Russia’s election meddling to rumors that her husband had affairs with model Karen McDougal and Celebrity Apprentice contestant Aubrey O’Day, Melania has had about as much as she can take.

“She was able to do whatever she wanted and have her family with her much of the time,” a second source adds.
Melania used to love just hanging around Mar-a-Lago, where she would “shop, use the spa and have her family dine outside with her.”

There really is no scenario in which her life will return to what it used to be. The only thing she can do is embrace it and use the platform she has to do something good–or if not that just dress up and be fabulous.

She could have gotten out of all of this by just telling the Treasonous Trumpkin she’s married to that it was a wrap and stayed in NYC in January 2017, but she came along for the ride so she’s got to deal with the bumps. This is very typical of what the Trump family tries to do. Ivanka tried it until she kept getting busted for it. They have P.R. leaks that they don’t like something to generate support or sympathy.
Ivanka tried to do it every single time her dad voted for something bigoted, until the obvious attempts to clean up here image were just bad P.R. attempts.
Melania is the same way. She knows who she married, she didn’t mind the attention before, now the problem is, she’s getting called out on things like plagiarizing Michelle Obamas speech, lying about having a degree, and talking about anti-bullying when her husband is an obvious bully.
