Andrej Pejic, the rising male model whose androgynous features and slim build allow him to model female clothes, has been chosen for the cover of Elle magazine’s Serbian edition.
On the front of January’s of Elle Serbia, Pejic wears a black wig, while inside he appears in lingerie from La Perla and Agent Provocateur. According to Women’s Wear Daily, he’s previously appeared on the covers of iD, New York and L’Officiel.
The Elle cover marks the first time the Serbian model has appeared in a magazine in his homeland, which he fled for Australia as an 8-year-old after NATO bombings.
Pejic told the Daily Telegraph he’s comfortable modeling men’s and women’s fashions. “Although womenswear is more glamorous. The clothes are more exciting,” he conceded. “In menswear I have to work more at having a masculine presence.”
Pejic, 21, has not said whether he considers himself transgender, but revealed he’d consider gender-reassignment surgery for a job as a Victoria’s Secret underwear model.

Absolutely stunningly beautiful but entirely unconvincing as a man.
PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID
@PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID: I meant unconvincing only in these particular photographs… I know he is a man… I think… I’m confused!
Oh, he’s beautiful however he or she wants to identify ultimately!

Andrej Pejic truly is beautiful. Stunningly androgynous. I hope he doesn’t consider that gender-reassignment too seriously, he’s beautiful and extraordinarily unique just as he is.

Andrej’s poses are sexist and stereotypical. It’s as if the women’s magazines have employed him to pose in the most sexist and stereotypical poses imaginable. Not nice.
Elle smells.
