PRIDE HAUS

PHOTOS: Brazilians Celebrate “Orgulho” At Sao Paulo Pride

Though it doesn’t get as much press in the U.S. as San Francisco’s or New York’s celebrations, Sao Paulo Pride (or “Parada do Orgulho Gay GLBT de Sao Paulo” in Portuguese) is perhaps the biggest LGBT celebration in the world. On Sunday, June 10, more than three million people flocked to skyscraper-lined Avenida Paulista, many wearing skimpy, colorful outfits that wouldn’t be out of place during Carnival.
