In news that should surprise nobody at this point, a vehemently antigay religious figure’s sexual skeletons have come tumbling out of the proverbial closet.
A jury took just one hour to find Georgia Pastor Kenneth Adkins, 56, guilty on eight charges of child molestation of a young boy and girl who belonged to his church.
Savannah Now reports that he was convicted of grooming the two youths, under the guise of mentorship, “to have sexual intercourse first in front of him so he could judge if they were doing it properly to eventually joining in on the acts himself.”
The jury was shown nude photos of Adkins that he’d sent to the male accuser, as well as a series of messages sent between the female and Adkins.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Of the eight charges, five pertain to the female who has denied any of the crimes took place. SN notes that she lived with Adkins and his wife as recently as a month after he was arrested.
“She’s in his clutches,” said Assistant District Attorney Katie Gropper. “What he has done to that girl is not only criminal, it is deplorable.”
SN adds:
The male told the jury last week that Adkins watched them have sex so many times that he lost track. He said the sex — in the presence of Adkins occurred in the church office, at the beach and in Adkins’ car. The male, according to testimony presented during the trial, initially told an Army investigator that his girlfriend was 16 and he was 15 when the activity first began. On the witness stand, the young man said his then-girlfriend was 15. Sixteen is the age of consent in Georgia.
Adkins made headlines following the Orlando massacre last June when he took to Twitter to blame the victims for their fates, writing:
Dear Gays: go sit down somewhere. I know y’all want some special attention; y’all are Sinners who need Jesus. This was an attack on America.
[I’ve] been through so much with these Jacksonville homosexuals that I don’t see none of them as victims. I see them as getting what they deserve!!
In addition to fighting against Jacksonville’s nondiscrimination ordinance that would help protect LGBTQ people, Adkins made several other public comments about gay rights:

So many more of these same stories are playing out all across America. I blame Trump.

Put this F*CKER to death. All rape and molestation should be a death sentence.

Speaking of getting what they deserve…..

The religious freaks who misinterpret their bible to ..for some reason (all idiodic and nonsensical in the context)… make it seem like being gay is bad.. they need sex to be “dirty and sinful” for them to enjoy it… Otherwise they were never taught self control.
Thats why the Red States have more divorce, addiction, unplanned pregnancies, etc. They need government and someone else to “make them” not do what is healthy and natural. So it gets twisted into really negative energy.

They don’t need to “misinterpret the bible” to get that message… it flat out says that being gay is wrong. Old Testament calls for us to be killed, and the New Testament just removes the killing part and says that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. That’s the “dirty and sinful” part of it, not that they need it to be; for these repressed fanatics. Some of these guys are just bonafide sexual predators that prey on children. It’s not a coincidence that more religious a person is, the more deranged or perverted their behavior can be.
See? I don’t just attack poor defenseless Muslims lol

@stevetalbert………..”Thats why the Red States have more divorce, addiction, unplanned pregnancies, etc. ”
Not only that but all Red States are now dealing with an incarceration rate where white meth addicts now outnumber black crack addicts.

I have always said that people who are capable of critical thinking would not be conservative. The bible does not condemn loving same-sex relationships between consenting adults. The anti-gay folks are using the bible to ostracize and condemn gay people through misinterpretation and missapplying context. . Sodom and Gomorrah not destroyed because of homosexuality it was destroyed because of inhospitality. Christianity is all over the board when it comes to homosexuality but dont blame religion, blame weak people who interpret scripture to prop up hatred and bigotry. The frightening part is this a-hole thought he could do whatever he wanted to underage kids and get away with it, all he has to do is ask to be forgiven to clear his conscious.

I agree. The bible does say that. It also calls eating seafood an abomination. Are we supposed to go out and shoot down all the Red Lobster Christians? It’s ridiculous. People conveniently forget that the son of God took ALL the sins of mankind onto himself, so that there is Grace now where the law was shown to be ineffectual. If the law was perfect, there would never be a criminal, because everyone would’ve learned from the punishments of others. Instead, death row is standing room only & the prisons are flooded. These people who think they’re Christians, but hate everyone who is different than them, are NOT Christians. Period.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again . . . religion is pure BS!!!!

I get suspicious any time a a religous type is so invested in characterizing other as evil / sinful … perhaps to make themselves appear ( or feel ) less sinful themselves ?

I learned long ago that the main “sin” against which any clergyman preaches is the one with which he struggles. It’s the classic case of projection. In fact, replace “clergyman” with “conservative,” and that also applies to our elected government officials and the legislative crusades which they wage against so many of us.

This may be true for all.

They should publicly stone him.

If and when this man is released from prison I am pretty sure he will be saying exactly the same things he tweeted before. His behaviour shows that he is able to compartmentalise – otherwise he would not be able to be a ‘preacher’ and also do what he did. The question is what do we do with people like him? I have always believed that education is the way to defeat ignorance, but some of these people are well educated. Perhaps there could be some kind of system where people like him are required to make restitution, not only to the victims of his direct sexual crime, but also to the victims of his hate crimes. This might include being obliged to work on a day release scheme from prison in a gay advice center or something like that.

Lock this thing up and throw away the key!

Just another regular day for delusional Christian bigots. Gawd is fake and so are they.
GayEGO
These so called religious pastors are such fakes, pretending to be so righteous while they sneak and molest children. I wonder if this pastor is also a Republican. Hmmmm……

I saw in the news that Chesnya’s, president is rounding up gay men and killing them. He’s a close friend of Putin. I hope this isn’t exasperbated by The New Guy being the new president here.

Chechnya. Gay men rounded up and tortured and killed in prison camps. I know this has nothing to do much with this story but just wanted to bring this up.
