Ooh rejoice! A new music video from the delightful Todrick Hall, featuring an appearance by your favorite Bob the Drag Queen. It’s part of Hall’s new project, Straight Outta Oz, which he’s describing as a new “twister” on the classic novel. Hahah, get it?
Straight Outta Oz is a traveling show that’s currently touring the country, and it’s apparently a semi-autobiographical adaptation of The Wizard of Oz. It starts with the story of Hall’s childhood in Texas, then his move to filthy sweltering LA. The whole show features lovely music and gorgeous costuming — everything you’d expect from the talent lined of for this kind of show.
Todrick himself has been strangely tight-lipped about the show, putting no information about it on his own website aside from “Tickets on sale now.” Tickets for what? You’ll just have to buy some and find out, but check out the video below to get a hint at what awaits you.
(Just between us girls, we’re not sure he can ever top the beauty of that Virgin America in-flight safety video that he did. But we’re willing to believe it could happen!)

That was cute and well thought ought. Thanks for posting this and giving the kid a chance to get his name out there even further.

This was like hearing the 3,400TH coming out story.
The Thing I’m curious about is,
How all of this plays out at 50. Like,
Todrick Hall at 50.
or,
The Rhodes Bros at 50.

@MarionPaige: DANG I smell burning brake fluid LOLOLOLOL! Hahahaha.
It was visually stunning and some of the lyrics, a lot of them actually, were fly. But. I’m tired of over-use of that B**** word though. Okay, we get it.

The entire “straight Outta Oz” project is actually amazing. His fascination with Disney and child like things gets tiresome at times, but this was an great production and the songs were really put together beautifully.

You guys should watch the whole video story, this is just an excerpt of the “Straight Outta Oz” video. All 11 songs are beautiful and colorful. My favorites are “Color” – which talks about his first boyfriend; “If I had a hearth” – talking about breakups; and “Papi” – which talks about a sexual harassment situation he found himself in. But all of the songs are really great!

17 not 11 songs, my bad.
