What Did Neil Patrick Harris Think About Ellen As Oscars Host?

ELLENX390I thought Ellen was great. I was watching the show, anticipating some big opening number, and then she just walked out and told some jokes, and brought everyone down in a casual way. It was lovely…That [pizza] bit went on for a while didn’t it? I won’t lie to you about that. I was like, where you going with the pizza babe?”

The “blonde lesbian” is always the only gay cliche that Hollywood can actually handle…

“Brought everyone down” is right – she seemed bored to be hosting! I’d take NPH or the Tina Fey/Amy Poehler dream team over Ellen any day.

I thought James Franco should have sent Ellen a huge bouquet on Monday because she made him look good. I thought that was the worst Oscars show I’ve ever seen, and there have been some stinkers.
