We called him “Spider-Man” at the time, but when France’s Alain Robert climbed the ladder-rungs of the New York Times building in Manhattan, police called him “criminal.” Well, barely. Robert pleaded guilty in June and was sentenced to three days of community service — which he’ll serve out at the Gay Men’s Health Crisis. (Brooklyn’s Renaldo Clarke, who climbed the building a few hours later, is completing his service at New York City Audubon.) [Newsday]
