The Scientological shit keeps flying!
Last week we passed on word that author Ian Halperin will soon publish a tell-all, Hollywood Undercover, which chronicles his undercover adventures as a "gay actor" seeking a same-sex cure from the Scientologists.
As a bit of a follow-up, Halperin has passed on this video of former Scientologist Michael Pattinson talking about John Travolta's alleged ex-lover, porn star Paul Barresi. Travolta must like his military men.
Meanwhile, Halperin recently spoke with our editor and expressed dismay over controversial author Andrew Morton's unauthorized Tom Cruise bio:
I'm surprised [Morton] didn't even bother to interview Scientologists, which is probably why he repeated the long standing rumors without proof. One of the biggest factual errors he made was saying that Cruise is the number two man, [but] when I was doing my investigation, several people at the church said that [Cruise] is actually the number one man of the church. They said that David Miscavige is basically Cruise's puppet and does whatever Cruise demands… I don't know where Morton got "Cruise is number two," because most people in the inner circle know that Cruise is the most powerful Scientologist.
Halperin also told Belonsky that much of the Scientological wrath gets spent on queer-control:
I did find most of the church's discrimination leveled at gays. In Hubbard's book, Dianetics, he writes that the "sexual pervert" – anyone practicing homosexuality, lesbianism – was actually "ill". Those are his exact words. He wrote that no social order will survive "which does not remove these people from its midsts" And in the same book he claims to be able to cure people of the mental problems that cause homosexuality."
Don't worry, though, the Scientologists hate on more than just homos. Halperin asked his Scientologist pals about the upcoming presidential election. While no one would endorse a candidate, one recruiter made it clear that the White House has no room for black folk:
He said, 'I can tell you who shouldn't be President – Barack Obama, Condoleezza Rice and the Rev. Al Sharpton. They should not be allowed to run for office, they should be sweeping the office."
Gross – except for the Sharpton comment. That man shouldn't even be allowed in public!

Barressi used to be very candid about Travolta and the way the Scientologists persecuted him and his family after he outed Travolta in the Enquirer in the 1980’s. That was then; this is now. After Travolta had his “Royal with Cheese†comeback the Church started paying off like a loose slot machine. Viola nobody knows nothing now.
Travolta met Baressi in the late 80s when filming "Perfect," one of a string of bombs that seemed to end Johnny's career. The tabloids were also on his case, as usual kicking somebody when he's down, blasting Travolta as a closet gay and his new marriage to Kelly Preston a sham. Paul was (and is) truly fug, but was a body-builder, the type Johnny likes. When the heat got too much, Johnny dropped Paul fast, and not in a sentimental way either. Paul got pissed off and sold his story either to the Star or Enquirer. The Church, which had arranged Johnny's marriage, now dealt with Baressi. Whether the Church threatened his life, or paid him off, or more likely a combination of the two, Baressi later recanted about his affair with Travolta and swore it never happened.
It’s no longer there, but TLA on-line video retailer printed up an interview they did with Barresi, in which he neither again retracted the story but did not reassert it either, saying he had ‘put that issue to bed.’ ( Ha, ha ) He came off credible, and I certainly believe his involvement with JT, but he also came off as a guy with quite a few chips on his shoulders and obvious attitude. In the same sentences with Travolta he talked about people who ‘rip off your dreams,’ fostering a strong suggestion he was promised things that were never delivered. Since they’ve both gone so super-looney with this stuff in the last near-decade, I’ve no use for either Travolta or Cruise and don’t find them entertaining.
Mr. Pattinson's laywer Graham Berry deposed me many years ago when he unsuccessfully sued Scientology. I declined to talk. Now this? Jeezuz! Do you people know how to move on? I never at any time or any place told Mr. Pattinson what he claims herein.
Paul Barresi
Highly unlikely you're the real Paul Barresi cause the real one said he'd never talk about the case again. Probably, you're someone from the Church hired to post this. And, the real Paul Barresi was the one originally quoted in the media saying this, before Travolta settled with him, forcing him to retract.
Probably right, Emily. I doubt Baressi knows or cares about this site, but the Church of Scientology certainly would be on the lookout for anything adverse anywhere… which must be a full-time job for a whole staff.
Who cares about closeted cases like Travolta, unless they're Repugs? Far worse is the blatant racism issuing from this Scientologist crackpot person. Really disgusting. Strip them of any tax breaks they get, and reveal them for what they really are.
I believe this guy but anyone who would buy into the self-promoting, thieving, lying tactics of Paul Barresi ought to have his head examined. Barresi has no regard for the damage he does or the great human suffering he causes. I can think fo 3 torture victims and at least 7 murder victims directly as a result of Barresi's arrogant and selfish acts!
