Judge Tells Atlanta Eagle Plaintiffs: Let’s Try To Work This Thing Out

Original reports that two of the plaintiffs in the Atlanta Eagle raid lawsuit against the city received settlement offers appear to be false — though both sides will be headed to mediation on Monday as federal Judge Timothy Batten orders them to try to work it out. He’s also preventing both sides from discussing any of the details of the case (besides confirming they’re going to mediation) by issuing a gag order, which sounds exactly like what Atlanta cops did when they shoved Eagle patrons to the ground amidst broken glass and disgusting floor junk!
