I Want to Get Married
($24.99 DVD, Breaking Glass Pictures)
It’s about time that Proposition 8 was exploited for rom-com entertainment value! In this 2008 period piece, Matthew Montgomery plays Paul, a lovelorn basketcase. Just as he meets the man who could
be his future husband, the vote for Prop 8—and a conservative client who campaigns for the legislation—comes around. We vote yes on this DVD!
ALSO OUT ON DVD:
Circumstance (Lions Gate Films)
Kung Fu Panda 2 (DreamWorks)
Eames: The Architect and the Painter (First Run Features)

I’m pretty surprised Circumstance only got a small also-out-on-DVD mention! That was one of the better queer films this year (perhaps second to Weekend?), and certainly the most bold! I encourage everyone to check that one out!
(I haven’t jumped on the blu-ray bandwagon, yet… but I’m kind of wanting the blu-ray Velvet Goldmine. Favorite film in high school, and still a rabid fan!)
