According to the New York Post, influential out politician Christine Quinn has set the date for a wedding ceremony to her longtime partner Kim Catullo: May 19.

The Speaker of the NYC council said in 2008, “When I get married, I want to get married in my hometown.” With New York state’s legalization of gay marriage last year, she can now do that.

The 45-year-old pol mailed out “save the date” cards yesterday on vintage subway map stationary (cute!).

The highest-profile guest might be Mayor Bloomberg, Quinn’s political ally. Quinn is widely believed to be jumping into the mayoral race in 2013.
