» Keeping Tabs…

Because he will die if he's not on television every season, Diddy teamed up with VH1 to produce his own Apprentice-esque show, I Want To Work With Diddy. Why anyone would want such a position, we don't know, but at least two queers made it into the finals, gay man Rob Smith and Laverne Cox, a trans woman. And Smith has made it his mission to keep you - yes, you! - updated on the Diddy details. We're pins and needles… [AfterElton]

The hip-hop scene's about to be rocked!

Well, that's if you believe Terrence Dean's book publicist. The former MTV executive will soon release Hiding In Hip-Hop, which will allegedly expose the genre's biggest homos. From the release:

"Hiding In Hip-Hop" uncovers a hidden and well-known unspoken secret. Deep within the confines of Hip-Hop is a prominent gay sub-culture. A world that industry insiders are keenly aware of, but choose to ignore.

According to Dean, "This book is filled with intrigue, sexy celebrity bed partners, abundance of drugs, and of course, the down low/gay men and celebrities in the entertainment industry.

This tale's a long time coming. Honky homos have been forced out in recent years, like Lance Bass, Neil Patrick Harris and TR Knight. It's only fair that black folk take some heat, too.

We have no idea who Dean will name, but we've got some theories…

We're not psychic, but we do have some theories…

A bit of frivolous "not gay" gossip. Our celebrity-obsessed cousin Mollygood told our black sister, Stereohyped to tell us that Mr. Sean Combs aka Diddy needs to learn manners:

A witness outside downtown hot spot Gold Bar the other night said, “He walked right up to the door girl with four other people in his crew. When she asked him how many people he was with, Diddy just called her a ‘[bleep]ing bitch’ and opened the velvet rope and let himself through.”

Isn't "bleeping bitch" how one's supposed to address the lowly door help?

•Somehow we always suspected Brokeback Mountain would be a top. Um, winner.

Fleshbot editor Jonno d’Addario and his partner Richard Read are quickly becoming the handsome faces of gay hurricane evacuees across the Gulf Coast.

•San Francisco's GLBT Historical Society has announced a Tour of South of Market Gay Sex Cultures of the 1970s. The tour promises to "bring together surviving veterans of the South of Market sex scene from the 1971-1984 era with newcomers interested in learning about the bars, sex clubs, bathhouses, alleys." A conversation and dinner will follow for those who don't opt to stay at Blow Buddies.
