Antigay lawmaker caught having gay sex in his office scrubs internet of his existence

Wes Goodman, a self-described “Christian. American. Conservative. Republican” and “family values” State Representative from Ohio resigned from office this week after being busted for “inappropriate behavior” with a man in his office. Now, it appears he’s trying to scrub the internet of his existence.

LGBTQ Nation reports:

Goodman resigned after the meeting citing “inappropriate conduct.” No charges of sexual harassment will be brought since the sex was consensual and the man was not a staffer or legislator. … Several GOP insiders have intimated that there is video of the encounter filmed inside Goodman’s office, but the speaker’s spokesperson denied that allegation.

In a statement released yesterday, 33-year-old Goodman said:

We all bring our own struggles and our own trials into public life. That has been true for me, and I sincerely regret that my actions and choices have kept me from serving my constituents and our state in a way that reflects the best ideals of public service. For those whom I have let down, I’m sorry. As I move onto the next chapter of my life, I sincerely ask for privacy for myself, my family, and my friends.

Goodman wasted no time taking down his website. Visitors who go to www.wesgoodman.com are now greeted with a blank screen. His official page on the Ohio House of Representatives has also been removed. His official Facebook page, too, has vanished. And his personal Facebook page has been wiped clean and set to private.

He also set his Twitter profile to private:

Nothing to see on his Instagram page either:

But don’t worry folks. You’re not missing much. According to Twitter user Loud Ohio Democrat, who follows Goodman, he hasn’t posted anything since before he resigned from office:

Goodman was elected to the 87th district seat last year after working for the Conservative Action Project, a network of economic, social and national security conservatives. He ran on a “family values” platform and has said in the past he is committed to upholding “natural marriage.”
