Wes Goodman, a self-described “Christian. American. Conservative. Republican” and “family values” State Representative from Ohio resigned from office this week after being busted for “inappropriate behavior” with a man in his office. Now, it appears he’s trying to scrub the internet of his existence.

LGBTQ Nation reports:
Goodman resigned after the meeting citing “inappropriate conduct.” No charges of sexual harassment will be brought since the sex was consensual and the man was not a staffer or legislator. … Several GOP insiders have intimated that there is video of the encounter filmed inside Goodman’s office, but the speaker’s spokesperson denied that allegation.
In a statement released yesterday, 33-year-old Goodman said:
We all bring our own struggles and our own trials into public life. That has been true for me, and I sincerely regret that my actions and choices have kept me from serving my constituents and our state in a way that reflects the best ideals of public service. For those whom I have let down, I’m sorry. As I move onto the next chapter of my life, I sincerely ask for privacy for myself, my family, and my friends.
Goodman wasted no time taking down his website. Visitors who go to www.wesgoodman.com are now greeted with a blank screen. His official page on the Ohio House of Representatives has also been removed. His official Facebook page, too, has vanished. And his personal Facebook page has been wiped clean and set to private.
He also set his Twitter profile to private:
Nothing to see on his Instagram page either:
But don’t worry folks. You’re not missing much. According to Twitter user Loud Ohio Democrat, who follows Goodman, he hasn’t posted anything since before he resigned from office:
If you're upset Wes Goodman locked you out of his Twitter, fear not, I follow him on another account, you haven't missed anything. pic.twitter.com/trmjv7mtY0

Goodman was elected to the 87th district seat last year after working for the Conservative Action Project, a network of economic, social and national security conservatives. He ran on a “family values” platform and has said in the past he is committed to upholding “natural marriage.”

I’m really sick of these self loathing closet cases working to hold our rights back so they can pretend to be straight. All of these fools need to be outed.
Redmage
Oh it isn’t self-loathing closet cases sort of thing.. Its much worse, and sadly too many in both parties do it, and its excused because people marry themselves to a political party, and not what is most important, which is our constitution/rule of law.
Its yet another case of “Do as I say, but not as I do”. It is ok for these politicians to tell us how we should live our lives, what we should settle for, and if we step out of line in this, then we are to be punished.. But its ok if they do it. I do not align myself with either party.. I hate Democratic leftist, progressives ect, as their policies are terrible for this country, and to anyone who respects our constitution, the free market, and freedom.. I hate Republicans, all caps “Christian” social conservatives for the same reasons.
This is part of why Washington warned of the dangers in having the whole party rubbish.
Redmage
Also forgot to mention, that he may very well in his heart hate gays or anything like that.. Most of these politicians don’t care, or they are personally ok with it… But they have to do the talk, to get supporters who do make a big fuss about such silly things.
Aaron
Hooking up in his office? He wanted to get caught. He’s young, hopefully he can find the life he’s subconsciously looking for before too much time has passed.
Josh447
Exactly what I got. When I look at the picture of the two of them, I see divorce and he’s gay and she is a religious enabler. Or they go into huge denial. A Christian value.
James
Now he can be a hero of the crazy log cabin republicans.
JillontheLake
Another hypocrite in the GOP.
wmca_goodguys
And there are no hypocrites among Democrats?!!
Xzamilloh
It’s almost cartoonish at this point. Any staunchly anti-gay Republican might as well go into office expecting to get outed like this, because it’s gonna happen, and I don’t feel an ounce of pity for them or their blind repressed wives at home just Jesusing it up in their Stepford wives wine circles.
Josh447
Is “Christian” becoming the new buzzword for closeted gay male?
Paco
Christian and hypocrite are becoming indistinguishable labels with American Christians, including the silent enablers.
radiooutmike
I think by the very make up of percentage Christian/Atheists/etc of the USA… I think that “Christian” is and always had been the buzzword for closeted gay male.
Esscourt
For his next act, he will transition to a woman.
BriBri
Another pig exposed! They’re dropping like flies!
Jaxton
So is Queerty saying that a man with homosexual impulses cannot have family values? Of course he can – and legitimately so.
Homosexual impulses are completely compatible with family values. Such impulses may not produce brood but they are a normal part of men who do.
Anybody who says otherwise is either a homophobe or a Leftist rule-promoting twit.
Xzamilloh
Really? Is this anti-gay Republican a “Leftist rule-promoting twit”? Because I sure as hell don’t see the logic here. And a man with homosexual impulses cheating on his wife with a man in his office is HARDLY what I would call “family values.” You seem to be confused with what family values are, but I’m sure they don’t involve cheating on your freakin wife.
Tobi
@Xzamilloh — Why are you arguing with a turnip?!
Xzamilloh
Because they’re gross and they taste like shit and I want them to know it lmao!!!
Brian
“Family values” in political context has a very specific meaning. And part of that meaning is that gay is wrong. It doesn’t just mean someone who loves their family.
jsmu
+Jaxton–You really are a MAROON. “Family values,” as used here and by ALL RETHUGS, is code for fascist, reactionary, wingnut, white-supremacist, LGBT-bashing, homophobic, ‘Christianist’ hate. There. Fixed your EPIC STUPIDITY for you. Schooled, spanked, and you are DISMISSED!
1EqualityUSA
JasonJaxtonBrian, NOM, NOM, NOM chipping away at identity “Homosexual impulse” not identity. Neil Gorsuch will go Originalist, Brian, so go back and tell your NOM-skulls your trolling makes no difference.
demetreus
You guys shut him down! Right on!!
charlietex
I’m pretty sure family values is right wing religious code language for not gay. I think you’re missing that.
Creamsicle
You’ve either missed the point or are being intentionally inflammatory. “Family values,” has been a long time dog whistle term for anti-gay in political circles. He also chose to say he was in favor of “natural marriage,” another dog whistle term for being against marriage equality, which makes no sense when you’re a state senator unless you and your party are hellbent on using “State’s Rights” as a premise to discriminate against people who have won their rights on the Federal level.
And are you a hive mind insect? Who calls children “brood?”
amigay
Is a “homosexual impulse” anything like a “gay lifestyle?”
Your comment is just so ridiculous.
Kieran
Newsflash: You can be Christian, American, Conservative, Republican and pro-family and STILL be gay. Just like you can be Orthodox Jew, Muslim, Mormon, Iranian, or Russian and still be gay.
tham
Yes, Muslim, Iranians and Russians LOOOOOOOOVE themselves some gays. Bots are funny.
Xzamilloh
Yeah… you can be uninformed and also be gay, is the gist of it.
Brian
Good Lord Tham, not everyone who says something you disagree with is a Russian bot. I still have no idea why you think Russian hackers would be wasting time on the Queerty comment section, a year after Hillary lost the election. Learn to have a real freaking conversation and get some mental help for this ridiculous paranoia.
Kangol
But he was openly ANTIGAY. You do grasp that, right? When you support laws and politicians that limit the equailty of gay people or seek to oppress us, you are anti-gay.
1EqualityUSA
Brian sounds like Maggie Gallagher. “Good Lord, Tham…”
Kieran
@Kangol Do you grasp that Justice Anthony Kennedy is Christian, American, Conservative, Republican and pro-family? And thanks to his YES vote we’ve now have legal gay marriage as the Law of the Land in the USA.
Xzamilloh
@Kieran, yes Justice Kennedy is one that tends to vote on principle and can separate his religious beliefs from his judgments. But, he is the exception in a norm with conservatives that has been vehemently anti-gay, or are you forgetting about how anti-LGBT legislation and rhetoric was a cornerstone in this election? Or the other conservative justices that voted AGAINST same sex marriage and Kennedy was the swing vote? Your own stupid point actually worked against you and proved the point that conservatives by far are anti-gay.
DCguy
IT’s funny when right wing troll accounts try to say “Pro-Family” when what they mean is “Bigoted and hate lgbts”.
So NEWSFLASH: no, if you are gay and are attacking lgbts in bills and laws…you are a self hating, bigoted closet case and a piece of sh*t.
But nice try.
Creamsicle
You can totally be all those things and be gay. Whether or not you can find people within those groups who will accept you as an openly gay person is an entirely different matter altogether. If you want gay people out and proud in those groups then start making them more gay-friendly. So much of conservative politics is about what you’re NOT these days. There’s comparatively little that they stand for besides being non-liberal, non-PC.
tham
Yes Brian, defend the trolls. Which kind of makes me think your from the troll factory.
No not all gay people think a like, but defending groups of people who are committing geniced against gay people? If there’s gays who really think that…then they should move to Russia or the Middle East.
Warning: gays are still being hunted down and murdered there…so good luck.
Brian
I’m not defending anyone, I’m saying that you sound like a paranoid nutjob in almost every post I see from you. Including the one I’m responding to.
Get help. Seriously.
Eddie W
Quick someone call the Bi police, You know how they hate it when people think they are just gay lol
kent25
Yes indeed. There this guy at work who got his girlfriend pregnant on purpose so she would chose him over another guy, Now he’s super straight to his friends and the world , But he’s real touchy feely with me when no one is around, He asked when I’m gonna set on his Di*k every time we meet, what straight man talk like that?
tdh1980
“We all bring our own struggles and our own trials into public life.” No, “we” don’t. Many of us come to terms with who we are privately so that we can live authentically publicly, and we manage not to throw others under the bus in the process.
1EqualityUSA
Perfectly stated.
Pheonix398
Perfect. You deserve a billion likes. Read those narcissists, for filth.
kent25
Ching a Ling a Ling! Ching a Ling a Ling! Where the Bi folks at!!!
Where they at! Where they at?
batesmotel
All these anti-gay church goers and politicians always turn out to be gay. They’re one of us!
Kieran
Not ALL of them, but odds are 10% are likely to be.
Jaxton
He’s bi. You don’t own him and never will.
Dakotahgeo
There but for the Grace of God go I! Waaaaaaait a minute! These holier-than-thou christians make me vomit! If they can come clean with their stories, and make a new and better life for themselves and others… fine! Other than that… SS, DD!!!
Jaxton
Wes Goodman is entitled to have family values and homosexual inclinations. It’s a powerful combination. Queens need not apply.
Queens can spend their lives searching for Mr Right as the years tick by. Good luck to you. It gets harder as your looks fade in a scene where looks are everything and appearance fascism rules. It’s jarring when you wake up one morning and notice that triple chin.
Wes has at least got his own family.
demetreus
Who are you and why are you so clueless?
dwes09
It always amazes me how stupid you are, and how your extreme neuroses and self hatred remove you from reality. This is not about bisexuality, which you incorrectly attribute to all men. It is about a man who has been anti-homosexual in his political career caught in covert homosexual activity. He does not “have his own family” HE HAS BETRAYED HIS WON FAMILY BY LIVING A LIE AND LYING TO THEM. Your inability to see would be amusing were it not so pitiful.
And i am also amazed you have not found some way to refer to your extreme misogyny in your post! Usually your hatred for and fear of women is a major motivation for your comments.
I’m sorry your looks have faded and you never realized your character (such as it is!) might also attract people to you. Some of us worked on developing our intellect, social skills and charm and have maintained our bodies, and are doing just fine attracting men for both intellectual and sexual intercourse.
Pheonix398
Upholding stereotypes i see. Research already dictates, bisexuals tend to have the highest rates of internalized homophobia in the lgbt community when in the closet,so no surprise here. Equally never knew homophobia meant being bi, so to be bi you have to hate your attraction to men and live toxically, in scandals and being a danger to society? The bullshit. My! oh! My! The things we learn from closet cases, denying their lgbtness. Kindly leave self accepting bisexuals out of your self hate jaxton.
mcflyer54
“Wes at least got his own family” … yep, the same family that he has now betrayed and humiliated because of his inability to remain faithful to the wife he obviously chose over living a more honest life. Now Wes has the responsibility of rebuilding a family that his actions may well have destroyed beyond repair. I wish none of them any ill will but I find no valid excuse for adultery whether gay or straight. And find the behavior even more abhorrent coming from someone who has used their faith and family values to further their political career.
balddude13
That’s what I want to know. Why are you defending Wes? Who are you???
balddude13
Jaxton, who are you? Do you really know Wes Goodman or are you just a GOP troll?
DCguy
Look, we ALL KNOW that if there is a Republican politician or minister who is rabidly anti-lgbt they are about 99% likely to be a self hating closet case. It’s been shown AGAIN AND AGAIN.
And yeah, I’m looking at you Mike Pence, Jeff Sessions, Lindsay Grahmn, Rick Santorum,
Oh, one caveat. They’re EITHER self hating closet cases, or they have a much much much worse secret they’re trying to hide. You know, like Roy Moore attacking young girls for the past few decades.
GayEGO
Well said! It seems the Democrats that have sexually molested their victims are man enough to stand up and apologize. The Republican sexual molesters deny it and act like cowardly morons and they should be removed and blocked from serving Americans.
GayEGO
Sexual molestation is simply wrong, but I appreciate the apologies from the molesters as that shows they are man enough to stand up and admit their wrong doing. As for Trump, Roy Moore, and their ilk, they are cowards and should not be representing Americans as the weak bullies they are.
Creamsicle
This isn’t a molestation or harassment case (so far). The other man with whom he was having sex was neither a legislator nor a staffer. It almost sounds like he was doing some kind of danger play with either a random hookup or a man he’d been hooking up with on the side for a long time. The thing with public sex fetishes is that you’ll probably get caught eventually.
Who knows if this was their first time hooking up in the Assembly? It probably wasn’t the first time and it probably wasn’t even the first time in public (even if his offices are semi-private).
Who knows how many closet case hypocrites are still in office doing everything to legislate against our interests and make moving between states into a patchwork of unequal rights and access to resources for lgbt families.
grethomory
Rest assured…whenever you hear someone hating gays so much…they normally are throwing their legs in the air and waving ’em like they just don’t care.
tricky ricky
lift your legs to jesus and praise the lord!
tricky ricky
He was at a conservative fundraising event with Tony Perkins where he proceeded to do an Indiana GOP style fondle and blow a guy who is sleeping maneuver. Kid woke up (he was 18) told his mom who went with her husband and told Perkins. Hushing up ensued, the authorities were not called and Wes went to a gay cure place. This was after Perkins had already had to deal with Duggar and his child molesting ways. Wes was declared cured.
It turns out he was known for his predatory ways of hitting on younger guys. He was well known in Washington for what he was doing but people were too afraid to report him lest they ruin their own reputations and careers by doing it (they are republicans after all). From what people have said he was a regular Kevin Spacey and enjoyed dirty phone calls and texts.
People knew what he was up to and they let it slide. Perkins should be held accountable he committed a criminal act and he knew it and failed to report it.
JarMa13
You people are so stupid. Youre so hungry to lynch a villain. Did it not occur to you that hes a gay man who has infiltrated the enemy?
And now youve destroyed all the good he could do.
Who do you want in positions of power, gays pretending to be antigay or actual antigays?
But you destroyed him and all the good he could do us.
Congratulations.
Idiots.
Pheonix398
Is that what you told yourself Wes as you worked hard to stop gay rights, trotting out the trumpet of hatred. Take the L looser and enjoy the painful life ahead, ring up those boys up and live your real life. Hope the countless D’s you sucked were really worth it. Consequences darling.
seaguy
You are the stupid one.
nishineal
is it that hard to be open about sexual preference in this age and time. it saves so much effort and time. and what’s with all the self hate. no wonder the biggest homophobes are closet cases.
