Though Prime Minister Tony Abbot staunchly opposes any same-sex marriage legislation, AussieBum, the homegrown haberdasher beloved by homosexuals the world over, is gaying it forward with a range of underwear benefiting the equality movement.
AussieBum is urging you to “Stand and be counted!” with two boxer briefs — the hipster ($15) and for the more demure of us, the long legged ($16.51). 100 percent of the profits from the range goes to Australian Marriage Equality, which will lobby MPs to come out (as it were) in support of gay marriage.
The nation-continent can certainly use each and every naughty bit since Abbot is holding firm to his belief that marriage is a matter for parliament, where conservatives have the majority, and should not be put to a popular vote, much like Ireland historically did last month. But what do those people know, they can’t even grow potatoes.
However, public opinion polls suggest a majority of Aussies support same-sex marriage. So if you want to help change some hearts and minds, you can start by changing your underwear here.
How about we take this to the next level?

Must be very difficult for his gay sister. Fun times at family gatherings. What a grade A douche. He’s catholic, duh!

Well done; who are these politicians who oppose it and who do they actually represent? Too many folks aggrandising their personal agenda, rather than doing their job – representing the electorate (70% of whom think it is time for change). Bravo, AussieBum…
