Here’s what happens when a drag queen comes out as a Trump supporter

Elaine Lancaster, a Florida-based drag queen, says she’s (unsurprisingly) lost a lot of work after coming out as a Donald Trump supporter.

According to Raw Story:

In yet another fascinating conversation with supporters of President Donald Trump, CNN revealed that his support even among his own voters is slipping quickly. Other ardent supporters, however, are still managing to hang on, loving each of his antics the others disavowed. James Davis, a female impersonator in Florida, said that after coming out as a Trump supporter he was “black-balled” from performing.

A lot of people in the LGBTQQIAASMUXH community like to preach “tolerance” and “diversity” but unfortunately don’t practice it. Sad.

    • DCguy

Oh look, the trolls are out with the same B.S. that the Mormon and Catholic churches tried to use through their hate groups like NOM.

The line…..if you don’t support their bigotry you are not tolerant.

So in other words, your argument is, that rape victims are intolerant if they don’t support the rights of rapists to rape? Tolerating bigotry and intolerance isn’t being tolerant, it’s being complicit. But nice try.

This Drag Queen is looking for an excuse. How else did everybody find out who she voted for? She openly supports somebody that wants to attack and directly harm the customer base of the clubs that would hire her.

    • dwes09

Yet another regressive who does not understand what tolerance means. I suppose you think that the black folks who stood up to the klan or opposed jim crow laws were intolerant as well. We certainly allow the benighted among us to have their ignorance and self-defeating beliefs, but that does not mean we have to coddle them or welcome their presence. Just as the regressives believe we are intrinsically damaged and hellbound souls, we understand that the motivation of lgbt folks (and folks like you who just play at it as an internet troll) who support the far right is tinged with self-hatred.

    • James

Doubt you are even gay. You are just another trump troll.

    • James

You have been TROLLIING this site for months with your pathetic homophobia. NOBODY GIVES A CRAP WHAT YOU THINK AND EVERYONE SEES YOU FOR THE LIFELESS HATE FILLED TROLL YOU ARE.

  • WillParkinson

Girl, you support whomever you’d like. If you were blackballed by the community, find yourself a new one. Get up on stage at a Trump rally in your gear. I’m sure they’ll show you love.

    • RIGay

      Amen, Will, amen!

    • James

That’s a laugh. Maybe you have not noticed but many of trump appointees are members of the national organization for marriage or the family values groups.

    • WillParkinson

Trust me, I’ve noticed. If she thinks she’s being blackballed by the community, then she needs a new home where she can be accepted for who she is. Trump’s crew will welcome her with open arms. (/Sarcasm)

    • DCguy

LOL!!! Yeah, they’ll show her love, you know, by appointing judges to take away her civil rights. Like Trump promised he would do.

Remember, the GOP has a plank in their platform opposing lgbt rights.

You trolls are wasting your time in here.

    • Kangol

Yes! She should put on her full drag, that MAGA hat, a cute flag-draped dress, and belt her heart out! I bet she’d be embraced with open arms, don’t you? ;-)

  • Kieru

Yeah I’m not sure I see the problem here… it’s kind of how Freedom of Speech works.

You are free to be as supportive of Donald Trump as you want. And your community is equally as free to choose not to hire you because of that. A career as a female impersonator is only as successful as your popularity.

And I’m sorry… but by supporting Donald Trump any LGBTQ+ person has immediate set themselves at odds with the community as a whole given Trump’s actions (or in some cases inaction).

No venue in their right mind is going to hire someone that is considered a pariah. They are in the business of making money, after all.

    • Kieran

You realize that’s the same “Freedom” argument homophobes use to assert their right not to bake cakes for gay weddings, right?

    • Ejens005

To Kieran. Because a business denying service to a patron is the same as refusing to hire a drag performer with questionable political alliances?

    • dwes09

:”You realize that’s the same “Freedom” argument homophobes use to assert their right not to bake cakes for gay weddings, right?”

Actually, who one may or may not do business with, as a public retail outlet, is determined by local, state and federal laws relating to equal access for federally designated suspect classes. It is in no way the same argument as the ones used by “christians” to both deny services and often publicly humiliate people. But then, nobody expects either understanding or critical analysis from regressives.

    • DCguy

This is the fake Trump Troll game.

Sorry cupcake, Those people are FREE to bake cakes in their homes and not give them to lgbts. What they can’t do is get a publicly licensed business and then refuse to do business with the public.

Once again, the Mormons and Catholics tried this exact same B.S. on this very site during the Prop 8 debacle. I can’t believe you are dusting off this same old crap.

  • KaiserVonScheiss

No surprise. There are so many who hate anyone who doesn’t participate in the group think.

    • Ejens005

Really? Group think? At least one side appears to be thinking.

    • dwes09

Somehow it is more obviously your side that participates in group think (cultish actually). As gay people it makes little sense to support those who think us damaged or sick (as your kind do), and even less sense to encourage their lap-dogs within our community.

Nobody is railing against intelligent lgbt conservatives, but it is telling that the percentage of lgbt people who vote republican dropped from the usual 25% to under 15% (12% by some surveys) for this election. Only the dullest of us (if you are actually homosexual, which is not at all clear) were taken in by the lies and posturing of the ultra right.

    • KaiserVonScheiss

Wrong! It’s the leftests who ostracise anyone who has dares to have a contrary opinion. Look at Laci Green. Now they all hate her.

    • DCguy

And by “Doesn’t participate in Groupthink” what you mean is “Supports bigots who want to attack and harm them.”

If you have to hide the facts, that shows you yourself know that your position is B.S.

    • Kangol

I agree we all should be more open-minded, so here’s a thought: why don’t you invite this lovely person, in her full drag, to accompany you to a Trump rally, and then stand by her, holding her hand for support since you are suggesting you support her here, as she lip-syncs her favorite songs? Please video it and send it to Queerty too!

    • KaiserVonScheiss

      @Kangol

OK, if you pay for it. I’m sure plenty of Trump supporters would be up to the challenge.

  • RIGay

Well… Orange Twittler’s re-election campaign is always looking for entertainment for the rally’s! Why not apply? Let me know how that works for you?

    • Kieran

Yeah gays will be so much better off when “Orange” is impeached and we get President Mike Pence.

    • dwes09

Unfortunately there is nobody in the line of succession who is other than a homophobe and blue nosed christian type. But it is the regressive and dull voters who set that up, and sad that some of those voters are lgbt people too gullible to have looked out for their own self interest (or that of the country as a whole actually).

  • Roan

They should be ostracized! If you are a member of the LGBTQIA community and you support the orange shit clown or any of the GOP, then you deserve scorn and every bit of abuse you get. If you are reading this comment, this describes you and you are triggered by it, then please accept my most sincere invitation to GFY.

      Red, FOREMAN XOxo

  • radiooutmike

It would be nice if Elaine Lancaster political views did not affect her livelihood, but of course it would. Who is she kidding thinking that the community would not choose not to hire her.

She should market her services to the gay conservative Trumpers.

  • RobertoinLA

Trump is an enemy of our community. It goes beyond free speech. If she just said she was a Republican or a conservative it would be different. It’s the difference between being a stupid fool (Republicans) and being a traitor or turncoat (Trump supporter).

    • Kieran

And you get to decide who is a “traitor” or “turncoat” I suppose? You gay fascists are scary.

    • James

      She is a narcissistic idiot.

    • dwes09

It is Trump’s actions that lend him those labels, not our “decisions”. Why are regressives so darned dull? Is reality so hard for you to look at?

  • He BGB

Good luck, sister, when you get ill and have no insurance because Trump repealed it with no replacement just because he has to undo everything “Obama”. Oh, granny died and left you a huge inheritance? Well, that explains why you have your tongue up republican but, because you’re rich. Well, good for you, miss thing.

    • Jollijerk92

Hey so when Booker, Schumer and those 10 other gutless, shitlibs voted against cheaper prescriptions from Canadia-
that was to help people, amirite ?

Damn you, BERNIE!!! What were you thinking ?? Ruining HER chance!!
      BAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA
      Silly cows.

  • James

Whatever her name, she/he is a troll. Anybody who supports trump is a fascist.

    • Jollijerk92

      And a facist, being ?

    • dwes09

The definition is in the dictionary, you should learn to use one. It fits. Trump dances at the edge of fascism, and is definitely dragging the country down. As the world moves into the 21st century, Trump and the alt-right is dragging the US back towards the 19th. And those who have little ability to adapt to the modern world, or benefit from the concentration of wealth at the top (as it was in the 1890’s) cheer him on.

    • James

A fascist being someone who thinks everybody but themselves should be repressed.

    • dwes09

Don’t you ever wonder why Trump has such a shaky relationship with the new leaders of the free world and a very vocal admiration for autocrats and dictators? The free world now looks to Germany and France for political guidance. History shows clearly that our country suffers under the isolationism and jingoism that Trump represents economically, and his authoritarian bent in combination with his lack of understanding of the mechanics of government are a real danger.

Unless there is a good reason for including Jerk in your name, please learn to think. And if there is a good reason, you have my pity.

  • James

I looked at her/his Facebook page. He/she is an overrated egomaniac who is lucky to get one comment or two likes to whatever he/she posts. Evidently he has very few friends. Trolls usually do not have many friends.

  • James

And now because she/he is a trump supporter he/she wants to play victim. Get lost.

    • dwes09

The right is steeped in the victim/snowflake mentality. That is why they throw the terms around so freely. Anybody with a well thought out analysis or a desire to see greater equity for all is either a snowflake in their eyes. But it is them…weak and devoid of critical faculties.

  • Pneumatikon

Apparently most people in the community don’t understand where fighting for your civil rights ends and treason begins. Letting in millions of alien invaders – who immediately fill our welfare rolls illegally and drive illegally and forge documents illegally AND VOTE ILLEGALLY – is an act of treason. (Oh dear! We’ve stolen hundreds of billions of dollars. But God forbid we vote illegally to protect our ill-gotten gains!) Letting in millions of Muslims who we know will immediately start attacking us is treason. Hillary Clinton was a traitor. If you voted for her you voted for a traitor. How difficult is that to understand?

    • DCguy

Awwww, how adorable, this new Log Cabin Screename keeps trying to pretend that it’s not the GOP politicians who want to harm us and instead are making up vague threats from “Outsiders”.

Sorry, it isn’t somebody from Guatamala that is trying to appoint judges who seek to do me harm. But nice try.

  • Geeker

I’m sure his friends on the right will get/give him plenty of work.

  • DCguy

Notice how just recently there are a bunch of new anti-lgbt pro-Trump screenames?

There was another thread where Mo Bro said some things and then suddenly those posts disappeared. Sounds like that Screename got removed and he has created a bunch of new ones.

  • sydboy007

all forms of diversity promoted….except diversity of opinion

  • DawnTrans

Elaine Lancaster is a stage name and James Davis is a female impersonator not transgender so callimg him her is misgendering. he is a gay male who only puts on a dress and make up to make money. Unfortunately he made public his unpopular political position in the gay community who has now shunned him. James will now have to get a job that will in all likely hood reek havoc on his manicure.
Sorry no violins playing just for you James, you wanted to bed Trump now go ask him for a job!
