When presenting Matthew McConaughey his Best Supporting Actor trophy for his roles in Magic Mike and Bernie at the New York Film Critics Circle Monday night, the stripper flick’s director, Steven Soderbergh, shared a charming anecdote from the set.
“While we were shooting Matthew’s script [strip?] sequence, one very impassioned woman extra pulled his G-string off and tried to stick her finger up his butt,” Soderbergh said. “And when I remembered that, I thought, ‘You know, where I come from, you stand up for a guy who brings that kind of game to your movie.'”
Where we come from you sit down, but that’s neither here nor there. Upon accepting his award, McConaughey added a little clarity:
“I don’t think she was trying to stick her finger up my butt. She was trying to put it somewhere, though, and you got it on film. It worked out.”
How about we take this to the next level?

If rumors have any semblance of truth then he has had more than a finger in that ass b4.
boring
If you’ve been paying McConaughey for the past year, you’d understand that he’s been utterly fucking insanely good on the acting front.
I mean, maybe not Magic Mike. But yeah, threw on Bernie and Killer Joe and I was all “Man, I probably shouldn’t have wrote this guy off.”
