Max Emerson’s mission was simple: Go to Pride, find out who hurt Mike PenceSomeone must have done something to make him turn out this way.

Over 1,000 people braved chilly winds and rain over the weekend to participate in the first-ever Pride festival held in Pence’s hometown of Columbus, Indiana.

The city of 47,000 people welcomed the visitors warmly. The Old National Bank downtown had rainbow-colored banners in the windows touting diversity and inclusion.

We sent Emerson to chat with the folks of Columbus to find out what might have happened to make our current vice president so opposed to the LGBTQ equality that was being championed.
