Model Max Emerson likes to show a lot of flesh on Instagram. It’s what he does, it’s what he knows, it’s what he has a passion for.

His most recent pic features him stripped down to a pair of boxer-briefs in the snow and suggestively toying with his ski pole, coyly captioned:
“Nobody gets more excited about ski season than me.”
Here it is:
And here’s more of Emerson’s recent Instagram teases:
That's right folks, I'll be at @virginsport #VirginSportSF in San Francisco On October 15 leading a stretch with my buddy @richardBranson before the #SFBayhalf marathon. Get your tickets for this festival of fitness which will also have a Twin Peaks Mile race, yoga, dance, food and drink + yours truly. Link in my profile. Use promo code “MAXTHEVIRGIN” (case sensitive, because I am sensitive) to #gofityourself with me. PS don’t tell @andrescamilo___ I’m a virgin. #sp
who is this guy?
A male model that works Instagram with butt shots to keep his name out there so he gets hired for modeling gigs. That’s pretty much it. Just an aging model trying to stay relevant.
He’s done work for Jeremy Kost, Calvin Klein and Super Model Style Candy. He’s also been on a handful of TV shows: Glee and The Real O’Neals are examples. He side lines on Instagram and YouTube (as so many other have to do to stay on top). So no he’s not just some random Instagramer who shows skin. Do some research next time, makes you seem like less of a bitter queen that way.
Quite the fan girl of instagram butt models. How sad.
His characters on Glee and Real O’Neals don’t even have names, which means he was basically an extra. Stop acting like he has a career beyond being on Instagram on his underwear.
What Ummmm Yeah said… Queerty’s obsessed with him, prolly because, you know, “naked” produces clicks.
Look at me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You say this as though it’s negative. He’s a model; “Look at me!” is basically his job description.
Modeling for what. His Instagram followers?
I’m not particularly familiar with his career; but Wikipedia suggests he has legitimate representation by a modeling agency, has a successful self-published book as well as an independent film and has been on a couple of highly-popular television shows in what I assume are walk-on roles.
Maybe if you bothered to do your homework before you made stupid comments you’d know what he models.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so sorry for insulting everyone’s fantasy boy. What was I thinking? More Max Emerson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ll wait for a good 10 years then. Then again Queerty would rather slit their wrists then put anyone above 30 other then the rare mature daddies feature.
“he has a successful self-published book”
I just checked the Wikipedia article you referenced and it says his book is an “e-novel” with a limited print of “500 copies” which was published in 2014 and is “nearly sold out” but is “free to anyone in high school”
You and I have vastly different definitions of success
I am looking at the tile on QUEERTY and going “This is click-baitThis is click-baitThis is click-baitThis is click-bait” and i still clicked it, and it lived up to all my expectations.
As Griff_Greymuzzle Noted:

Anyone in his line of work or in any of the media arts has to work very hard to keep their name out there. Name recognition is what it is all about. The fact a bunch of Negative Nancys delight in putting him down for that apparently does not keep them from clicking on the article and ogling his body. Of course, for any of them, I would delight in it if they were to post their own portfolio of the modeling they have done or a syllabus of their accomplishments in anything other than being a bitchy quuen.
Legitimate, talented models have a great portfolio and don’t need social media for the exposure. Unless this dude is modeling for a ski boot company, it’s nothing more than soft porn.
5 years ago you may have been correct but today social media has totally changed the secondary media world.
Why did he disfigure his gorgeous body by shaving off his body hair in the last few photos? Just for a massage?
When a model job wants skin not fur…….you shave. Hair regrows so he didn’t “disfigure” his body.
It isn’t like he chopped off a testicle.
“Did you disfigure your head?”
“No, I got a haircut”
A nice guy who also happens to be handsome and out. Good for him for having fun and being himself. No skin off anyone else. Haters gonna hate so shake it off.
Quoting Taylor Swift?
The problem with underwear models…they can’t have a big package…or any package at all. They have to be smooth like a Ken Doll.
It’s great for selling underwear…lousy for ummm….sex appeal. So he has to be an amazing actor (which of course, he’s not…in fact one can say he’s a better singer than actor…no, everyone says that) or…
He’ll just be another underwear model until he turns 32…or in his case, next year.
What the Hell is with these people making such negative comments? Why are you even taking the time to do so? This is Queerty”. The article is about “Max Emerson”. He is VERY popular on “Instagram”. So, why did you click on a Queerty article about Max being on Instagram? Is it secretly making you feel “Less Than”? Are you on some kind of mission? If so, put it on your own blog or facebook page. Go away and STFU!
I did comment until about a year into the Activist/underwear model take over of Queerty.
Ignoring didn’t work…so now, I figure “why not explain why I don’t believe 1) they’re social activist and 2) why I find men without jocks not very sexy.
The agencies who hire him need to know that I would be far more likely to take a second look at their ad if he had his body hair. He looks just like everybody else when he’s shaved. There’s nothing that would catch my interest. But leave the legs hairy ……. and I’ll stay for a while.
So being popular on an a free photo app is now a career option to be celebrated? That’s just sad. And he’s modelled for three companies? That makes him, or anyone else, worthy of being a celebrity? Today’s views on what makes a person worthy of being celebrated is just pathetic. He’s essentially a nobody that’s semi fameous with millennials just because he’s hot and shows skin, he’s done nothing of real note, just a scantily clad thirst trap making money off stupid people just for showing g-rated skin.
He gets ad revenue with every view, like and subscription. It is just wild what some of the people can make for just being watched.
He’s way too old for Millennials…
He’s famous with the over 50 who like Instagram for all the underwater photos.
And btw, he’s like almost 10 years older than Cameron Dallas…who, by his own account, is getting too old for internet stardom.
This guy is just a 30 year old, desperately looking to do anything but a real job.
Yeah he makes like 50 dollars a month off of “internet” revenue. And anyways, he below the million followers mark.
So technically, he’s not even an internet star…more of a pen up for old men
Wow! Lighten up. It’s the internet. None of it’s real. Save the snark for your therapist she’ll tell what to do with it.
It’s just click-‘bait’ not click -‘hate’.
I saw Max in a play in Syracuse,NY. He can stage-act so add that to his list of talents. He was naked for a moment in the play. Cute.
Funny how all these people come out of the woodwork to sing the praises of this nobody and extol the virtues of his hypothetical career. It’s almost like someone sent them here.
You really ought to accessorize that conspiracy with some aluminum foil. I hear it’s all the rage to fashion it into a cute hat.
Max seems like a really nice guy. I ran into him once here in NYC and said, “Hi! You’re Max!” He couldn’t have been nicer.
He seems to be having more fun with his life than those trolling comments.
He’s a cute guy with a perfect body. Let him show off all he wants! Wish he’d do a porno.
