Rachael Gieschen, 69, an Air Force veteran who fathered five children and was twice married, and who became a woman three years ago after transitioning, had her membership to the Hanover Seaside Club in North Carolina canceled after, the board of directors claims, other members expressed “agitation and concern” about her gender. Her family founded the club over a hundred years ago.

Unles her family has always had an all inclusive club membership policy, I’m not interested. How many Blacks, Jews, Gays has the club had over the years?

First off, he has not made the full “transition” into being female. And just so you know, he has not one female quality about him, instinct, style, etc. He is still a male for all intents and purposes and he gives actual transgenders a bad name.
Second, the HSC has a very diverse membership including blacks, Jews, gays, handicapped, etc and has a vast amount of people waiting to join.
The Hanover Seaside Club is not a place of snobs, it is a place to spend a relaxing day at the beach, where you don’t have to worry about your kids because those kids have got all kinds of parents watching over them and keeping them safe from harm. It’s a safe haven.
R goes to Wilmington to see the children that were still speaking to him and to see his grandchildren as a male. He is not allowed to be around his grandchildren as his female persona. The HSC was willing to give R back his membership if he came to the club as his male self which technically he still is.
He was asked by his family to not bring this argument out into the public arena but he and his attorney felt that they just HAD to and in the process hurt many of R’s long time associates, friends and family. He has also forgotten that he is a parent and part of the job of a parent is to protect those you love not to purposely hurt them when they ask you not to. It is however selfish and narcissistic to plunge forth like a bull-in-a-china shop and force feed people your beliefs no matter what they are.
