Talk a single-issue voter: Jo Ann Nardelli has resigned from her post on the Democratic Party’s Pennsylvania state committee because of his stance on marriage equality.“I respect all of you and all that I have achieved in the past. Due to personal matters and faith beliefs at this time, it is only fair to resign,” she wrote in her resignation letter. “I will miss you all very much as you are all a part of my family; however, it is time to move forward with my life in a direction that is more in line with my faith.”

Nardelli didn’t just quit—she turned around and endorsed Mitt Romney. Her sacred traditional marriage might be safe with Mitt in the White House, but what about taxes, the environment, health care and reproductive rights?

Of course, word around the Democratic Party watercooler is that Jo Ann really resigned because lost her bid to be elected County Commissioner and blames her colleagues.

“I don’t know what the beef is,” said Blair County Democratic Chairman Frank Rosenhoover. “We supported both [the two Democratic Commissioners candidates], we gave them both money [and] equal fervor.”
