Talk a single-issue voter: Jo Ann Nardelli has resigned from her post on the Democratic Party’s Pennsylvania state committee because of his stance on marriage equality.“I respect all of you and all that I have achieved in the past. Due to personal matters and faith beliefs at this time, it is only fair to resign,” she wrote in her resignation letter. “I will miss you all very much as you are all a part of my family; however, it is time to move forward with my life in a direction that is more in line with my faith.”
Nardelli didn’t just quit—she turned around and endorsed Mitt Romney. Her sacred traditional marriage might be safe with Mitt in the White House, but what about taxes, the environment, health care and reproductive rights?
Of course, word around the Democratic Party watercooler is that Jo Ann really resigned because lost her bid to be elected County Commissioner and blames her colleagues.
“I don’t know what the beef is,” said Blair County Democratic Chairman Frank Rosenhoover. “We supported both [the two Democratic Commissioners candidates], we gave them both money [and] equal fervor.”
How about we take this to the next level?

And another closet case bites the dust.

You can’t be a Democrat and care so much about marriage equality that it would make you vote for a Republican. You’re just a Democrat by force of habit, laziness or as a job if that’s the case.

A lot of females are secretly homophobic because they fear they will miss out on the attention of men, and thus remain spinsters.
Believe me, these women are one of the driving forces of homophobia in society.
What the f**k
@jason: And the others are?…..
J Stratford
@jason:
“A Lot”???
Care you prove that “a lot” are homophobic?
what % of the population of women is “a lot”?
Which survey, event, study, pattern did you use to come to this (obviously wrong) sweeping generalization?
LadyL
Yawn. Another sexual Dixiecrat. Or closet case. Or both.
Ian
Good riddance. Jo Ann can go live her small-minded life in accordance with her “faith”.

@J Stratford: Jason just has a hatred of women in general. His mother must have thrown him in a dumpster or something. I have never met a truly homophobic woman though I am sure they exist.
Max
@Daez: Believe me they do, although perhaps not as much as Mr. J would have you believe.
And as for Mrs. Nardelli: Seriously? Social conservatism is one thing, but going around and endorsing the opposing canidate and undoing all that you were striving for because you don’t want same gendered people to give ceremony to their love? I will never understand why this is a big deal to the religious, never.
Dave
Good Riddence, Ms. Nardelli.

I’m not saying that every single woman is secretly homophobic because of her fear of male attention-deprivation, I’m simply saying that the cultural imperative for females drives them to this domain. Nothing scares a woman more than the notion that she won’t be attractive to men and, therefore, won’t receive his sperm.
It’s a primeval force which drives women thus.

Good. It’s time to weed the bigots out of the party.

Jason, Are you going “Pastor Worley” on us again? You sound just as unenlightened as the North Carolina pastor calling for electrified fences to be built around us. Hatred and bigotry does not go away, even when we are subject to it. Small mindedness prevails. You even have a little flock like the good pastor has, your own “Geneva Sims” followers. What damage did women do to you? What hurt did you encounter? How is being anti-anything making you a better person?
jason
I’m simply stating the truth. The truth knows no bigotry.
What the f**k
@jason: it’s probably best to keep your truth to yourself.I feel sorry for you..really!You’re obviously ,a little bit slow. Homophobes come in every type and shade,even gay!

During the 20th Century, most Southern Democrats were Democrats in name only. They were really Far-Right Republicans. They were “Democrats” only because their grand-daddies were Democrats against Lincoln. You can call a skunk a cat…but it still stinks.
